Jim Dornan – Amway Legend – passes

Jim Dornan, arguably the most successful networker in history, passed away at 2 PM yesterday.  He had been battling cancer for months.

For more than twenty years Dornan built and ran the largest, most cohesive network of its kind in the world.  He attracted crowds of 100,000 filling soccer stadiums and auditoriums in Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia.  As an Amway distributor, product sales topped a billion dollars in multiple markets.  But it was his own “educational system” that created hundreds, if not thousands, of millionaires worldwide.

In the late 1980’s, as Amway began to go international, other networking leaders, principally, Dexter Yager and Bill Britt, shunned foreign markets, even, for a time, teaching leaders that there was no money in them.  Since most income was then made off of the sale of tapes and the running of functions, the American leaders had less leverage and control in markets where their conservative, Evangelical culture was not understood and where they could not even speak the language.

Ken Pittman, a North Carolina former American serviceman was one of the first to step into this vacuum, building a large organization in Germany in the 1970’s.  Tim Foli was even more successful, building large groups in Latin America a decade later.  But what Dornan did towered over any other entrepreneur or network marketing company.

Network 21, originally founded as an alliance of 21 Dornan “Diamonds” and soon named after the coming century, was founded in 1991.  The core of the group was formed out of an Amway organization that Dornan purchased from John and Gil Nuyten of Sydney, Australia.  The Nuyten’s were one of the fastest qualifying diamonds in Amway history.  They sold their group to Dornan and left as Christian missionaries to Israel.

I was immediately hired to speak and train for Dornan and sent to Australia to get things rolling.  I would be a speaker on the Network 21 circuit throughout the world for two decades.

More than any other figure of our generation, Jim Dornan, transformed the networking business.

1.) In an industry that was misogynist, where women were trophies, he made his wife an equal business partner.  Nancy Dornan became an outstanding spokesperson for their business.  Onstage she often stole the show from her husband.  And Jim, his ego secure in his own talents, was openly delighted by it.

The result was that women networkers were empowered worldwide and soon built legendary businesses of their own.  Beginning with Glenda Leonard and Angie Ross in Australia and then Enika Farkas of Hungary and Natasha Yena of the Ukraine.  Yena now leads one of the largest such organizations in the world.

2.) Dornan, who was trained as an engineer, recognized the need of an equitable compensation plan in his system, rather than the favoritism based on relationships that marked most other arrangements.  While he was unable to make it work in all markets and with all groups within N21, it became the goal and is now the ideal for all new systems.

3.) Dornan finally hit upon a method to take networking worldwide.  He recognized that only people with the same language and culture could find a way to relate to others of their own ethnicity.  And Dornan learned that it would take at least three couples, working together for a year, not two couples and not one.  It was a formula born out of time and error and it worked.  He saw Network 21 spread around the globe.

First it began in the ethnic communities of Sydney.   James Vaghy emerged and joined two others in taking the business to  Hungary.  Robert Angkassa, Paul and Linda Argus, S. R. Kristiawan have built huge groups in Indonesia.

When people insisted that networking educational systems would not work in Sweden, a modern socialist state, Dornan patiently subsidized the operation for two years and soon had leaders such as Matt Holmberg, speaking to audiences of 10,000.

Dornan’s European groups grew after a merger with Hans and Eva Nusshold of Vienna, Austria.  The Nusshold’s were longtime networkers who had worked with Max Schwarz.  They provided early leadership and direction.

Mitch and Deidre Sala emerged as two of the greatest Networkers in the world.

4.) Dornan, more than any other modern networker, made it socially acceptable to build such a business.  In a culture that was at times openly anti-educational and proud of it Jim Dornan was  a college graduate who offered cogent analysis on how and why networks grew or failed.  In a culture of unbuttoned shirts and garrulous gold neck chains Jim Dornan was a country club member, comfortable in a Brioni suit.  In a culture of greed, he was a major donor to charities.

Jim and Nancy Dornan’s business was inspired by a baby born with spina bifada.  The Dornan’s were educated, Purdue University graduates, with successful incomes.  But here was a crisis that only money, big money could solve.  They knew the challenges and struggles of network marketing but it had one feature that Jim’s lucrative engineering career could not match.  It had no ceiling on the income they could generate. If they were to give their baby a chance at life, they would need more than insurance or even a lucrative engineering income could supply.

Jim Dornan has many achievements.  He co-authored a book on leadership with John Maxwell.  He was a great philanthropist.  Network 21 is the largest corporate donor to World Vision and other charities.  When we hosted a Charity Awards event, the Dornans were always front and center.  When I worked in the White House I brought Jim Dornan into the Oval Office to meet with the president.

But in the final analysis, his greatest achievement may have been that as a husband and a father.  He and his wife, Nancy, have three children, Eric, Heather and David.   Jim and Nancy built the world’s largest network, inspired by their love of a baby, born with a handicap, but fighting for its life.  That was long ago.  And from that love came hundreds of new millionaires and thousands of dreams come true.  That little baby survived its early battles for life and grew into manhood, helping others with his same handicap find hope for themselves and their futures. He will be there to mourn his father, the networking legend, when he is lowered into the earth this week.

  1. My condolences to the Dornan family. Sounds like he was and incredible guy. I was inspired by his desire to help their child with Spina Bifida. I have a son with Ehlers-Danlos that I want to get the best care available for. Just as God directed him in the direction he should go I know God will direct me.

    1. i have been associated ACTIVELY with amway & network21 for the past 14 years…and nowhere have i found even a trace of anything illegal or schematic ! all i have seen & experienced is utmost integrity and values in pursuit of a business !! thats what makes amway & N21 such great organisations…and greatness is always open to attacks from demented/stupid /lazy/spineless people who dont do the right things and cry hoarse about losing out !!!

      1. Wow you’re just as sad with the name calling. Just make your point without calling people stupid, lazy etc. Nobody is losing out. Not everyone is into direct sales/multilevel marketing

  2. Well, this was a nice tribute to a friend, I presume.
And I only came by to see who’d post the most negative and slanderous comments. Way to go, tex2; way to diminish a decent fare-the-well.
    I expected it.

  3. I nice tribute, Doug! Jim will be dearly missed by many

A couple of minor corrections to your info. The Nusshold’s were internationally sponsored under Schwarz, but were actually shown the business in Australia under Glenda Leonard, who is part of the Nuyten business.

The Sala’s on the other hand are not part of the Nuyten group, they’re crossline to the Nuyten business, downline of Bill & Rosemary Ainsworth and the Comyns in Australia.

The Comyns trace back to the Beairds in the United States. They are all part of the Robert Stonelake business (as were the Dornans) Stonelake sold his business in the 80s and it was bought by a consortium including the Dornans.

Jim showed not only great faith in Amway with these buyouts, but great business acumen.

    1. You are almost correct. The Nusshold business was sponsored through Uschy Suter who was frontline sponsored by John & Gil Nuyten. Glenda is also frontline to The Nuyten’s. when the business was sold Uschy Suter informally connected into Glenda.

  4. Doug, great post. And yes I would agree with you about Jim. Didn’t know him as well as you, but he was always gracious with me. John Mason

  5. My success today I credit to personal leadership I learned via N21 mentors. God bless the legacy left by Jim that has transformed the global distribution industry, helped generations from all walks of life to live better lives and impacted on quality of life in our communities and in poorer countries. RIP, Jim; condolences to Nancy & family.

    1. Thanks. I am not in XanGo nor do I endorse XanGo. People who are using my name or publishing old videos of me promoting this company are doing so without my permission or my approval.

      1. Hey doug i saw your video of 2003 for amway in india, you spoke in mumbai incredible speech made me active Amway. are you in amway or not? and why?

      2. Hey Kailash,

I hope… you know everything about Dog Wead.

He is legendary economist, motivational speaker , a true leader.
His business principle and work ethics are wonderful.

He inspires lacs of people in the world.

He would love to welcome all intelligent questions which help people to built wealth.

    1. Edgar; a congressman trying to get paid for his support (backing) does not mean that the person he tried to get cash from is in the wrong. IN fact, Paul did not pay. I’d bet Romney got that backing, if not Obama, himself!
Do you not know this is how most of the big-boys play the game? It does not make your attempts at smearing Paul (based on your hatred of Doug Wead) right.
Ron Paul did not and does not participate in this manner.
But you are desperate to smear him, even when he is not running for any office.
Get a life, Edgar (tex2). as you come off as a bitter little whiner. I realize you hate Amway, but why go at Ron Paul? Did he buy Amway from someone (or not?)??

And at least answer the post rather than spout random lunacies that mean nothing and prove nothing of your lies, except that you are (still) desperately grasping at straws. Be careful, as Ron Paul is now a private citizen, and as such can sue your libelous rants. Seriously.

      1. Wow such vitriol! Edgar didn’t write ANY the article nor did he share an opinion. He merely posted a link to a story that’s been covered by everyone from Politico to Huf Po and you come with the most extreme of accusations and even threats.

      2. Tex2 it will be interesting to see how the story Edgar posted plays out since some Ron Paul supporters on the Daily Paul are implicating Doug who, I believe, was a member of the Ron Paul campaign?

    2. Wrong, Mike.
Re-read what, “Edgar”, wrote. He and tex (same thing) have gone on about Ron Paul buying the support of this particular congressman, and it is trash.
It should also not be spammed all over this post, which is a tribute to a dead man and friend of Doug Wead. If tex.edgar (Robinson) wants to rant and rave about Amway OR Ron Paul, he should really take it elsewhere……. but, when people like you, Mike, make allowances for this lunatic behaviour, it only makes Robinson go at it ever more so.

Just look at the number of commets, and then discount those by Robinson, okay? Were it your blog, would you not find it the least bit irritating? Were you following the blog and received scores of inane comments (from the same poster(, would you not be irritated over wasting your time to read these, “follow-ups”?

      1. I’m wrong? This is not the same Doug Wead who according to wikipedia was Ron Paul’s senior adviser
        ?
        http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doug_Wead
If that is the case then I can see why you feel Edgar is mistaken.
BTW:I re-read Edgar’s post and he wrote word for word what is on the linked story. Do you have some sort of magic decoder ring that let’s you see something other’s cannot?
BTW I’ve read this same story in the Iowa Republican:
        http://theiowarepublican.com/2013/the-payoff-details-revealed-on-sorensons-deal-with-ron-paul/

  6. JIM DORNAN will always remain in our hearts. He leads the Organisation from his hearts. Thanks.

  7. We are blessed … and in his memory we’re going to “build this thing” and get it done! Thank you Mr Dornan, we never met … but we have met your spirit, your love and your gift. Thank you for passing through our lives and sharing with our family through your teachings…

Rapi and Ualesi Ieremia … New Zealand

  8. My condolences to the Dornan family. May god give the strengh to the Dornan family to overcome this difficult time. Jim has impacted the lives of millions and he will continue to do so.

    1. It seems you have interpreted it wrongly, I was in a Job when I first heard Jim (forced by someone) but that certainly inspired me to look into own business, through his leadership teachings I have not only set up a substantial Amway business but have also created a traditional business in construction Industry. If not for him would have been working 9am-8pm in some organisation. We are indebted to Jim and Nancy for whatever we are in Life.

    2. tex2, net profit since 3 years, expenses Rs.1200/- ($25) per month on education (less then what people pay for KG kids, and most of them go nowhere in life, get ripped in your language), at least 10 more in my group making net profit, why don’t you join our group for 90 days, yo will also make net profit.

  9. Thanks Mr. Doug Wead for so many information shared. I was blessed to listen to Mr. Jim Dornan and you in New Delhi, India. No words can explain his wisdom and vision and very kind courtesy towards the under privileged. We are still learning from his CD’s and books. We lost the head of our family. We will always miss Mr. Dornan.

    1. Saji; what a small world. My daughter just came back from New Delhi, though she also visited (old) Delhi, too.
And then money fell out of the sky yesterday, though it was YEN,.- in Austin, Texas, one-thousand yen showed up at my feet! How’s that for the UNIVERSE telling me something?.

Doug Wead is still a wonderful speaker, no matter what some will continue on in spamming, in all of Mr Wead’s posts!

      Best wishes.

  10. Loss of one of the great world leaders.

Like thousands of others, the Dornans touched out lives. My wife and I raced Jim and Nancy to Crown Directs. We beat them by one month! Although crossline, we shared many functions in the late 70’s until we grew too big to share under one roof.

When my wife Paula died in 1992, my daughter Ivy and I hurriedly put together a service in Newport Beach. Ivy spent 4 days calling Amway leaders. Some 100 attended.

I had sold my Amway business some 6 years earlier, so we had very little contact with Nancy and Jim.

Nancy and Jim were scheduled to fly to Europe the very day of the service. In spite of our lack of contact, they cancelled their flight, at no small expense, to attend and give the main eulogy.

If I had possessed just 25% of Jim Dornan’s leadership and integrity, I would still be in Amway. Jim and Nancy built their Amway business on solid Christian principals. They spent over $1,000,000 on medical bills to keep their son, Eric, alive who was born with spina bifida. Normally parents of such a handicap let the doctors make the decisions. He is now an active and sharing adult.

My prayers go out to Nancy, The Dornan legacy will continue for generations to come. Well done, Jim.

  11. Hi Doug.
So elegantly written, as you always do. Jim said that one’s real asset is how one thinks and that is a function of who one spends ones time with. What a privelage and honour it was to meet and know Jim Dornan – the perfect gentleman, the giant intellect, the unselfish ‘giver’ and the master leader.
We will forever miss your brilliant humour and beautiful smile.
    We are truly heartbroken.
May G-D comfort Nancy and the entire family at this difficult time and bless them all with a Long and Happy Life.
    Rest in Peace Jim.
    With grateful memories.
    Phillip & Debbie Weinstein.
    Cape Town, South Africa.

  12. Tex back from the dead? I thought you had a gag order after Amway kicked your butt.

Geez, the guy died, get a life and let it rest already.

    1. Mike? VItriol?
Not exactly. Just tired of Tex, aka Edgar (and many other names.channels) spamming all of Doug Wead’s posts with this trash. Go look at any of Mr Wead’s posts in the past couple of years. It is the same base garbage, multiple times per post.
Know what it is that you defend, dear!

    2. People who read posts by people like tex2 would perhaps have a little doubt in their eyes about the opportunity Amway presents…..until they read this last post. I almost fell off my chair laughing. Really??? tex2 kicked Amway’s butt. An almost 12 billion dollar company got their shorts handed to them by a mental midget like tex2. I appreciate the good laugh you’ve given me and many others tex2. Hilarious, absolutely hilarious!!

      1. way to go chris !! this mental midget should be put away so we can work in peace !!

    3. No Tex, I didn’t get it wrong. Someone died. No need to be a classless bitch and spit on his grave. Go take your argument elsewhere.

  13. To all of Jim’s family and friends,

We are very sad to have heard the news of Jim’s passing. We will keep Nancy and the family in our prayers. Jim left an awesome legacy to all who knew him. He was one of he greatest and most humble man that we have ever met. Jim we will never forget you, and what you have done globally to make a positive difference in the world. Nancy, please know our hearts ache for you and the entire family locally and globally.

    David & Marta Bunnell

  14. I haven’t actively built the Amway business for years but I made long life friends through Network 21. I got a txt from my upline on Tuesday while at work of Jim’s passing. I have heard Jim speak live a few times and always left inspired. He was a great leader, very humble. It is a very sad period in the N21 and Amway family but he has left an amazing legacy behind.

  15. Jim was a good teacher, visionary, inspiration and businessman. He shared his practical and down-to-earth knowledge in business wherein the ordinary person can truly understand and apply. Thanks Mr. Dornan.

Mr. Wead I can still remember when I saw did a talk here in Manila, Philippines during the Amway and Network 21 launch back in 1997. You were one of the best speakers in the business and still is.

  16. Thank you to a great man, he has inspired me for nearly 2 decades, your touch Jim has only but just started. It has given many an opportunity to realise their potential and write their own story – thank you again. RIP. Doug, thank you for your tribute to the man. Condolences to Nancy and all the Dornan Family.

  17. Just heard about Jim’s passing from my Upline David Williams…(son of triple diamonds Pat & Allan Williams) Jim and Nancy were my hero’s and roll models for my business and my life…. Although we did not always agree, I held them in the highest esteem and deeply respected them always… My heart is broken with the sad news of Jim’s passing…. But the legacy that he created will live for a very long time…. ♥

  18. Thanks to Mr Doug Wead, who gave the news. I will miss a lot to Jim, When I got to chance to hear Jim at New delhi, I felt him as a brother who got birth In America but cared to all

  19. It is one of the saddest day for me personally. I had the good fortune of spending a lot of time with Jim and Nancy on their trips to India. There never will be a more inspiring, more loving, more honest couple. May the Lord almighty give Jim peace in his heavenly abode and Nancy and the family strength to bear the loss. Jim will always live in my heart and millions of people he inspired and influenced all over the world. RIP Jim.

  20. I will never forget seeing and hearing Jim Dornan live at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg South Africa 2009. I was and continue to be blown away by his wisdom and humility.
I would like to extend my gratitude to the Dornan’s/ Network 21 for the positive impact they have had on my life and many others.
May Jim’s wonderful soul rest in peace after a life spent in the service of others; our prayers and love go out to the Dornan family. We pray that his son Dave will have the strength to make it to South Africa in October so we can express our love and gratitude.

Thanks Doug , it takes a big person to honor and recognize others.

  21. Great informative post. I personally saw Jim and Nancy three times in India. And one time Dough Wead.
Listened earliar tapes and now C.D. of my hero Jim Dornan.
What a man? My tributes and thousands salutes to Jim Dornan.

    Giuseppe Galotto,Giusi Granese

  23. Doug?
Are you going to allow this to continue? If so, I will remove this blog from my list. If you are just using the insolent idiot to boost your ratings in WP, well, good one. Otherwise, and though I have argued against it in the past, WHY not block the IP?
*yes, I know its IP and I am sure you can easily get it, Doug.
    Alright – take care.

    1. Hi all, Looks like this tex2 guy got some kick from somewhere. He got all the time to post negative replies to all posts. Very funny.

      1. Yes, Saji
Young “tex” requires so much attention, he’s done what he did here, on each and every one of Doug;s blogs; tries to irrritate every person commenting on the blog(s).
Perhaps, now, people comprehend what I was talking about earlier.
The worst thing is he acts like a child who needs that attentoin, whether it be bad or good. I know he had some problem with AMWAY and wants the world to know about, but has never posted his problematic dealings with them, though he alludes to them many times, in this blog. (not that he should post them on Mr Wead’s blog)
I don’t know why he goes after Wead, or what he’s imagined Doug;s part in his failings is, but he attacks Doug and harasses Doug, just as he does everyone that does post responses, and it does not matter what the topic is, as his idea is to continue with the harassment, constantly. Though I do not generally go along with the notion of blocking anyone from blogs or blog-sites, when these silly and immature “people” keep at it, my opinion is this:
GET RID OF HIM; block the fool’s IP for all time.
Like a schoolboy, tex cannot act like an adult, and he is simply nasty. I would definitely not allow him to post word-one on MY blogsite.
I don’t know why Doug Wead does, for sure!

i have never had a dealing with AMWAY, other than buying a few products; from a friendl *which I found superior, by the way; yet this child wants me to read what he has to say always! Why should I care that his AMWAY business FAILED> it is obvious that he devotes far too much time in harassment and posting online to have made ANY business succceed. Perhaps little “tex” (J-son) needs to look inside of his own self and stop blaming others for not being able to grow his business. And, there are things about the AMWAY idea that I like, including buying AMERICAN (for Americans!)

  24. It was an absolute honor to have met Jim Dornan, reading his books and hearing him speak changed my perspective on so many things in my life. I know he has blessed and changed many peoples lives. My condolences too the family. God bless them and give them strength in this sad time.

    1. You’re the proven liar Tex. When we met years back I showed you hard data that proved your thesis wrong, at least as it pertains to Network 21, and you have chosen to completely ignore those facts and continue to spread your malice.

  25. IMPEACH Barack Hussein Obama — it stumbles-and-bumbles AND STUTTERS (which is usual for this political creature to try and come up with an answer it is not prepared for) while trying to decide what it is: A DICTATOR or NOT….LOL!

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST VIDEO THAT MAKES THE CASE FOR IMMEDIATE IMPEACHMENT !!!

Time to IMPEACH — make this SUPERB 15 minute video viral.

Also, nice exposure of Hitlery Clinton!

If any of you here are true Americans, give this post a thumbs up.

    Thank you!

p.s. Don’t worry about the NSA (Nazis Spying on Americans) profiling you, they’ve been spying on you illegally for years ALREADY, and the only way to stop them NOW is to have Obama IMPEACHED!

      1. Excuse me, Mike; I did not ask for the inane commentary to be removed, but did post one (only one, luv) comment to Doug, asking for the foolish one to be prevented from posting further-more.
I also posted a comment to you, but I believe it went to a different commenter; were this blog not so full of the same silly rant, you would have most-likely seen it.

I rarely bother myself with little “tex”, in case you have not noticed.
Good bye- much better things to get done, in my case!

      2. Btw; Mikey; not all of us sit around waiting or others to post comments in order to have a go at them. Because I don;t watch this post like an eagle-eyed-tex-boy, I did not even read what Surfisher had been blathering on about.
Even l’il tex will tell you I have asked Surfisher to chill out and stick to the topic, and it’s happened MANY times.
SO do not presume to know anything about me, and why I post what I do, for sure.

    1. Wow I just read annebeck58’s blog:
“Israel, Zionism and all their siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles, etc, all spring forth from one common well, and it is JUDAISM. It has been the source of conflict the VERY MOMENT it was put into practice thousands of years ago and remains so today.”

Gee Doug has some rather interesting ‘friends.’

      1. Actually, MIke; ya silly dodo.
That blog was not mine, though it could have been. No, it was written by a fellow Jewish American by the given name of, “Rosenberg”.
It is pretty sad that you could not distinguish a blogged, “liked”, from one I actually posted as my own.

Go and find one I did post if you think you have something to say. Of couse, asking you to think is asking probably too much, idiot. or, should I say, ZIDIOT!

You and your half-retarded pallie, the imp tex, are just to ridiculous for words. And you can let him know, this is why I do not bother responding to any of his trash. It’s also the last time I will bother myself with your inane lunaciies. If Doug Wead does not care to handle the stupidity posted here, I have plenty of other blogsites I care about reading.
        Buh-biiiee, ya jerk,.

      2. Well there we have annebeck58 ‘s admission she endorses such hate-filled garbage.Who will Doug allow to post next? David Duke? Looks like 58 has a lot in common with him.

  26. Ain’t nothing wrong with making a profit from tools that help people build profitable businesses. Tex2 is like a dog gnawing on a bone. You would have more credibility if you just made your point and moved on. Anyway, I’m gonna go buy a new suit with my bonus. Laters!

  27. Reasons to IMPEACH OBAMA — the abomination that has usurped OUR White House!

Here are mine (if you can add to them, please, do):

    1) Lil’ Hussein PERJURED itself when taking the Oath of Office — to defend the US Constitution. It has done nothing else, but trying to DESTROY the US Constitution instead, since day one! And keeps on ticking in this zeal!

    2) Lil’ Hussein said it would veto NADA — if Congress wanted the power to whisk away any American citizen/s to secret military locations without DUE PROCESS and LEGAL REPRESENTATION only on the POSSIBLE (not verified) suspicion they may be connected to “some possible” terrorist activities.

NOT ONLY DID Lil’ Hussein LIE, but SIGN IT INTO LAW — AND after a lawsuit was WON in a Federal Court by journalists that deemed it UNCONSTITUTIONAL, it — Lil’ Hussein — sicked its lawyers to have that Federal Judge’s ruling stayed! So, till this day — ANY AND ALL AMERICAN CITIZENS CAN DISAPPEAR, on mere suspicion (never to be heard of again) courtesy of Constitutional Breaker… Lil’ Hussein Barack Obama!

    3) Lil’ Hussein PLEDGED transparency in Government, and NO Spying on US Citizens — guess what, it LIED! Breaking a Verbal Contact — one’s word given to the American people — is the same as CHEATING UNDER OATH! And that’s all Lil’ Hussein DID, HAS AND KEEPS ON DOING!
Now that PRISM and all the NSA Spying on ALL US Citizens has been exposed — what does it do? NOTHING, but lie again, and have its shills like Eric Holden and NSA’s anti-American General LIE on its behalf to cover its tracks!

    4) Lil’ Hussein: Can anyone tell us what is its real name: Barry Sotero, Slick MacCheat, The Creature from the Black Lagoon, The Destructor of USA — since no-one seems to know where it was born, and what is it exact REAL NAME. It had a FAKE Birth Certificate posted on line — and afterwards total secrecy!

SHOW US YOUR REAL BIRTH CERTIFICATE — Lil’ Hussein — AFTER ALL, we all need to show ours to get a drivers license, let alone run for President….!!!!

    5) Lil’ Hussein — why are your scholastic records sealed in whatever University you claim to have attended (I have to disclose mine to get a job, WHAT MAKES YOU EXEMPT NOT TO DISCLOSE YOURS — what are you hiding from us… ashamed to show us your grades and the ACTUAL courses you’ve supposedly taken)?!

    6) Lil’ Hussein — if your were born in Hawaii, how come you have a Connecticut Social Security Number (when you’ve never been a resident there, ever)!?

    7) Lil’ Hussein — why won’t you disclose your Actual US Passport, showing where you were born, and you’ve been since acquiring one (I have to show mine every time I travel abroad, but you seem to be ABOVE THE LAW, and have never allowed anyone to show your world travels EVER — what are you hiding)!

    ——————————————————————————————–

Time to IMPEACH this wannabe Dictator — Lil’ Hussein.

If you agree, add your thumbs up to this post — if not, enjoy becoming a slave!!!

    1. Surfisher; this blog has not a thing to do with Obama. It is a tribute to a friend who’d passed, from what I gather. And as I told tex he should zip it (regarding Amway), I would say the same to you.
If you want to rant and rave on and on about O, why don’t you finally write-up your own blog? It IS free, after all, and you won’t be bothering others who came to read what Doug Wead posted.
      Okay?

  28. IMPEACH Barack Hussein Obama — it stumbles-and-bumbles AND STUTTERS (which is usual for this political creature to try and come up with an answer it is not prepared for) while trying to decide what it is: A DICTATOR or NOT…!

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST VIDEO THAT MAKES THE CASE FOR IMMEDIATE IMPEACHMENT !!!

Time to IMPEACH — make this SUPERB 15 minute video viral.

If any of you here are true Americans — contact your Reps and DEMAND they start Impeachment Proceedings NOW!

It’s our nation to lose, folks, if we do nothing!

  29. *Ron Paul Discusses the Ron Paul Channel and the NSA Spying Program*

The True American Patriot, Ron Paul, is now UNSTOPPABLE — beware Obama and other Government crooks that want to usurp our Government — your time is nigh! Ron Paul has now his own News Channel — it started Monday the 12th, 2013!!!

  30. Tick-tock, tick-tock — the “tex2” troll’s time is running out — before it gets banned again (for the 17th time…?…LOL).

  31. ***The Ron Paul Revolution WILL Be Televised!***

As I stated many months ago — a Ron Paul NO LONGER constrained by the necessity to navigate the pernicious loops-and-turns placed by the RNC (with the American traitor Reince Priebus heading this neo-con club) to win the Republicon’s nomination, he, Ron Paul will become a force to be reckoned!

Now, that Ron Paul has retired, he is devoting all his patriotic All-American energies to put an end to the wannabe Despot Obama and all its anti-American cronies!

Make this 3 minute video VIRAL !!!

  32. Are there no two honest men left in the US Congress and Senate — to start the NEEDED Impeachment Process of Obama, the creature that is hell bent on destroying our Constitution, our freedoms, our privacy, our prosperity, our way-of-life and our nation as a whole ?!

Are all Congressmen and Senators so concerned for what’s best for them — to get reelected or run for some office — that NONE care to risk their positions to do what’s right to save our Nation from this Obamination?!

Start calling them all — and ask them why they are complacent to this criminal act perpetrated against the American people!

A sad day in today’s America — if no two honest people can be found in office!

    IMPEACH OBAMA NOW!

  33. NBC News August 22, 2013 “Booing Barrack’s speech in NY” (off topic, but NICE to share, since few are aware of it!).

    http://www.nbcnews.com/video/nbc-news/52822718#52822718

    Question:

Has the USA ever had a president that speaks and acts like a street punk when things don’t go its way — watch this 1+ minute DISGRACE by the narcissist that occupies our White House!

What kind of language is that coming out of the mouth of a supposed US President when BOOED (count the incredible stupidities Barrack utters, and watch its expression in disbelief that he is not the omnipotent King of USA he thinks he is, but gets put down by the people he thinks he rules — shocking treatment for this narcissistic buffoon!) — below are its street punk’s utterances by its own mouth:

    “I hear you, I got you…no, no it’s fine… wait, wait, wait, wait!…. We’re OK, we are OK….It’s OK, it’s OK…hold on a second, hold on, hold on!…. Hello everybody, Hello…. Hey, hey, hey!….Hold on, Hold on a Minute!….Now…you know….hold on a second….”

Time to save the USA — Impeach Barrack Hussein NOW!

    1. Really?
This is SO NOT the place to print such trash.
Did you even read the post? If so, why would you go there, rather than expressing condolences to Doug? after all, it is his friend who passed.

Please do not use his medical history post to do the same. It’s just so uncaring and ridiculous, for you to present such things As I said to your nemessis, take it somewhere else.

      Honestly; where’s your humanity?

  34. First of all, thanks to Doug for taking the time to talk a little about the incredible man/husband/father/friend Jim Dornan. My condolences to you, Doug. Jim was an inspiration in my life, in fact, I can say that he still is.

Having said that, I am really disappointed to see all of the unrelated and negative posts following your words. It is so sad that so many people can’t just let a man honour his friend. You should all be ashamed of yourselves! Doug’s tribute was not about Amway or Network 21, but about how this very special man contributed to our world and the incredible difference that he made in so many lives (I hope it is alright to say that, Doug?), although, even if it WAS about Amway/N21, then the smart ones would only have wonderful things to say about how they were able to take some really positive elements of that business and applied it in their own lives or they should keep quiet about how they weren’t able to learn or benefit from the experience at all because they were just too stupid.

And just so that we are all informed here, I met Jim and Nancy Dornan in 1997 in Australia – briefly – through the business. I stopped being an active member in 1998 but I have carried the inspiration that Jim and Nancy gave me throughout my life and have successfully applied their business principles and ethics in my work and personal lives. Much of the credit for my successes can be attributed to Jim and Nancy and the opportunity that they gave me to learn about me and the world around me, but the failures/learning experiences are my own.

A small point for some who post on blogs all the time, but significant for me: this is the very first time that I have been moved enough to post a blog, or reply to one anywhere, ever.

Doug, please pass on my regards to the family, and my best regards to yourself. Yes, Jim did leave us with an unforgettable legacy and he will not be forgotten, but his passing has left a space in our world that no person will ever be able to fill and those close to him must be feeling the loss so very much more than someone such as myself who was touched and inspired from a distance.

  35. Aloha from Hawaii Doug — I remember Jim speaking about living a life of significance. He and you are live the principles that you espouse and such an inspiration for so many. He was certainly a giant of a man/husband/father/mentor/friend — may He rest in peace. The world is definitely a better place because he was in it.

  36. I was at Pymble in the heyday of Business Associates International and there was nothing else like it on earth, for small business building education and hilarious story telling from the likes of Mitch Sala, who first coined the phrase “genetic defects” for those who just couldn’t comprehend the system, the take-no-prisoners brashness of Peter Cox and the svelte sophistication of Glenda Leonard. They were all downline of Bill and Winsome Ainsworth and it was an electric and dynamic atmosphere to build a Ruby Direct business in Hungary as I did with my then wife Mirta via Hans & Eva Nusshold and our front line sponsored Rubies Istvan & Teresa Kaye. Yes we had lots to do with John Nuyten and later on in personal Leadership meetings with Jim Dornan after he bought the Nuytens business for a then record million dollars and started N21. We were with him in Buenos Aires and my wife translated into Spanish his cameos during presentations in the Salon of the Hotel Bauen along with our uplines Bill & Rosemary Ainsworth, Crown Ambassadors Andre Blanchard & Bill Britt, and my heroes the brilliant and funny EDC Dr Stuart Menn and hugely funny Crown Ambassador Jim Janz. I was fortunate as an award winning journalist to be asked to interview Andre Blanchard and Bill Ainsworth on tape in Buenos Aires and these tapes became very successful on the motivational tape system “The World Is At Your Feet” being my fave. I recall catching an elevator in the Hotel Bauen with – to my right – Jim Dornan, to my left, Dr Stuart Menn and Bill Britt was there too … we were all joking about the Argentine admin numbering system for new distributors: They were all given a QUIT number! “Jesus it’s hard enough building this business without giving them another incentive to quit!” quipped Dornan. We all cracked up. I’ll also fondly recall the nightly Penthouse Parties the Ainsworths threw atop the Hotel Bauen for all their group in Buenos Aires to kick back and relax and drink together after every day’s frenetic pace of building the business in a brand new international market. Whilst we quit the business upon our return to Australia in 1993 at the 18% level, my wife and I will never regret the five years we were in and getting world class training in personal development which later helped me build a communications business of my own.
RIP Jim Dornan. Condolences to you and the kids, Nancy.

  37. Amway is a great business, as are many of the organizations within. Just like ALL businesses there are bad apples who don’t do business correctly. But Jim Dornan, Bill Britt, Dexter Yeager, John Crowe, Rex Renfro, etc are NOT examples of bad apples. They reached out to others, shared not only a business but, a part of their lives with EVERY person in not only their own organization but, others as well. The key to their success is they gave and gave and gave; they couldn’t help but to get. On another note, one of the tapes that most impacted me was Doug Wead doing the “Sermon on the Mount” from memory. I believe that was you, correct Doug? Great job…I have never forgotten that and it was over 20 years ago…God Bless!!!

      1. If people making money by sharing a knowledge system I am ok with that. I was in the Britt/Miller organization and it didn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that they were making a lot of profit off of tools. No one ever misrepresented that to me in anyway, nor made me believe they were making all their money on the “Amway” only products. Sorry for anyone who was not bright enough to get that. I am no longer an IBO, though I will not rule out becoming one again. But the world makes money off selling knowledge and tools; only in Amway and other multi-levels to people who fail then get upset by that!!!

      2. I have found Britt to be the only group that was somewhat open about the amount of money made from the tools, although I also believe they low-ball the amount. My issue with the liars who pretend their lifestyles came from Amway only is the resulting differing incentives:
        1. Amway has the incentive, and takes advantage of it, to have high product prices (that are nearly impossible to retail), and low bonus payout, both of which maximize Amway’s profit,
        2. The upper level IBOs are cleaning up on the tools, and they don’t want to rock the Amway boat/kill the goose that is laying the golden tool scam eggs, so they don’t complain about #1,
        3. The 99+% of IBOs are being ripped off by #1 and 2, above.

This isn’t sharing a knowledge system, it’s RICO fraud and an illegal pyramid.

  38. My condolences Doug, Jim was a superb ethical leader which in todays society is rare.

My favourite tape was ‘How we went Crown’ and I still play that today. One of the best lines was Nancy talking about inanimate objects, so funny.

My thoughts are with Nancy and her family.

@Matt, I remember Doug’s tape ‘Sermon on the Mount’ but don’t have it anymore. Another classic.

  39. Hi Doug, that was a great article about Jim & the incredible legacy he left behind. A man of integrity. We are excited to have Nancy Dornan coming to South Africa with Dave & Jules next year November.

  40. I Thank God for Jim’s desire to lead the networking program to transform the many people from all backgrounds No limits! Just as He and his wife desired to provide for their son they taught the value of networking what every Husband and Wife should know. Family first.
I am a Christian and will trust God to provide trough whatever program God desires. His will, not mans!

    1. It’s spelled “through,” not trough. As I said below, Dornan was nothing more than an Amway scam artist. Amway has 2 major problems, and most MLMs have at least one of these issues:

      1. The products are overpriced, which makes them almost impossible to sell to customers and results in Amway being an illegal pyramid, according to the FTC and SEC websites and previous court decisions; and

      2. The Tool Scam is hidden profit for the top level distributors only, and the vast majority of distributors operate at a net loss as a result. This is RICO fraud.

For recent examples, google “FTC” along with the following companies, one at a time: FHTM, BurnLounge, Zeek, TelexFree, Vemma, and Herbalife. Read about these and much more at http://www.StopTheAmwayToolScam.wordpress.com and http://www.AllMLMFacts.org, and email stoptheamwaytoolscam@yahoo.com if you want to help shut down Amway and other MLM scams.

Watch this video about Amway and other MLM scams, then forward it to every non-Amway person you know, and encourage them to do the same. When enough people know, these scams will collapse:

  41. Ron and I are so sad for the family mostly and then for the huge extended family of network 21. Hard to grasp, such a shock to us.
