An interview with Jesse Benton: It’s not over

By Doug Wead
.
Talk to me about the Ron Paul campaign, the national media says it’s over.  Is the delegate strategy really working, will Dr. Paul be a player at the convention, are you pleased?
.
Yes, it’s working.  We are way ahead of anything that anyone would have predicted and we are ahead of where the national media is reporting.  But we are never pleased, we can always do more.
.
How so?  How are you ahead?
.
We are doing better than reported in the projected delegate count for the Republican National Convention in Tampa.  We are monitoring what is happening at the precinct, district and state conventions and we will be getting more delegates than the national media is assigning us.  Probably, quite a bit more.  And many of the delegates who are being selected in primary states are actually Ron Paul supporters.  In some cases, they will be bound to the winner of the primary on a first ballot but would be free to vote their conscience in a brokered convention that went to a second ballot or more.
.
But this battle is ongoing.  It is not over.  And even the victories we win can be undone in some states.  So it is a struggle.
.
Why not compete in the open primaries?  It discourages your supporters to see Ron Paul score low in some of these contests.  The national media treats him as if he is out of it.
.
It’s all about money.  We did compete in early contests, spending millions of dollars in television advertising money.  And we had some success.  We came in third in a seven person race in Iowa, for example, and second in a six man race in New Hampshire.  Remember, at one time there were nine candidates, now there are four.  So we made a run for it, doing  better than anyone expected but the caucus delegate strategy made more sense to us, we get more delegates for the dollar spent than by wasting the money for a beauty contest that means nothing in the end.  Even if we won such a contest, the national media is not going to give us the victory.  So we have to work efficiently and realistically and that means mining for delegates. Santorum and Gingrich can’t do what we are doing because they don’t have the committed supporters.  And Romney has to pay money to make it happen.
.
But there are reports that the Romney, Santorum and Gingrich campaigns sometimes work to shut us out.  And there are reports of fraud at some of the conventions.
.
Some complains of fraud are real and some aren’t.  We are looking at every one of them.  It is heartbreaking to see any citizen hurt and his or her voice silenced at a convention where the insider leaders refuse to play by the rules.  Again, we will win or lose these challenges based on our resources.  This last moneybomb was helpful and the next one will tell the tale.  If we have the money we can get our people the support they need at these caucuses and help them through the process.
.
Most of your colleagues are impressed.  They say you have had the best commercials of any of the candidates and that your delegate strategy has now caught your opponents totally off guard. The Romney people are scrambling to catch up and being forced to spend millions more than they anticipated.  So how do you react to criticism coming from your own base?
.
Well, I come from Philadelphia where we are famous for sports fans who sometimes boo the home team.  Everybody has come to terms with it, players, sports writers, and the conclusion is that the fans care and that’s why they sometimes boo. That’s what you get when you have a passionate following.  Anyway, I have broad shoulders, I can take it.  Sometimes it is helpful.  We have the best people in the world.  And some of their suggestions are logical but in other cases there are extenuating circumstances that make them impractical.
.
What’s worse is that we can’t talk about it and explain ourselves.  So we just take the heat and go on.  And then, of course, some suggestions from the field are just unrealistic.  The complicated thing is that you cannot run a campaign in a vacuum, you have opponents and they too have options and we have more opponents than most campaigns have ever dreamed about.  Dr. Paul is taking on the whole establishment.
.
Where will the delegate strategy lead?  What can still be won in Tampa?
.
The future of the country is at stake.  Dr. Paul has always been about issues.  This isn’t about power, it’s about getting back to the U.S. Constitution and to free markets.  It is about breaking the hold of an elitist establishment.   If we have enough delegates to make a difference our message will be heard around the world.  But I don’t want to give away all of our secrets.  There are many victories we can win in Tampa if we have the delegates to contend.

  1. DT says:

In order for Ron Paul to have more success, there needs to be a distinguishable argument made between a Constitutional Conservative and a Neo-Conservative. For instance, Obama is a Neo-Conservative; even though many Conservative voters think he’s just a Mindless Liberal. It all stands to reason by what the Congressional Republicans and Democrats have done “in concert” is to reinforce the Logical Conclusion that the Republican Party Establishment and the Democrat Party Establishment are essentially both the SAME. They BOTH Govern AGAINST the Will of the People – and they BOTH usurp the Constitution and ignore their Oath of Office – while placating an outraged citizenry with more BS.

  2. tex2 says:

Ron Paul should have spent the past 2 decades in Congress building alliances. It’s too late for him to do that now. LOL

    • DT says:

      tex2

Alliances? No wonder you’re against Ron Paul. He says to follow the Founder’s Advice and avoid entangling “Alliances” with other nations – but YOU, like the other Neo-Cons, want to jump-in-bed with “whomever” gets you what you want. – Typical Neo-Con.

TO HELL with the Constitution says the Neo-Con! It’s Onward to World Domination! *sigh* No wonder our Country is in the shape it’s in. Never mind Government operating within it’s means and FOR the People. Just Borrow more and then “heap” the Debt onto the People. It’s the Neo-Con Way!

      • tex2 says:

I said alliances in Congress. LOL

You’re so powerfully STUPID it’s hilarious! LOL

        World Domination? LOL

You’re so powerfully STUPID it’s hilarious! LOL

RP is FAR from alone about minding our spending, he just thinks it’s still the 18th century! LOL

You’re so powerfully STUPID it’s hilarious! LOL

      • Why would you believe something that is not true?

      • tex2 says:

I give up – why would I? LOL

      • Surfisher says:

        DT —

But why give it internet “life” by responding to the #2 (ignore it, and it eventually dies out by talking to itself only)….

      • tex2 says:

I don’t need your responses to have internet “life,” because I can deal with the facts and logic, something quite foreign to RP sycophants. LOL

    • pff136 says:

Alliances with whom? No, others should’ve learned the Constitution better (which they take an oath to uphold) and done their jobs. If they understood it, they would’ve been understanding of Dr. Paul. Paul doesn’t cowtow for alliances just to do it. He stands for the Constitution. He didn’t have to pander to get all the support he gets now; he simply told the truth and I respect that.

      • tex2 says:

I already said with whom? What are you, certifiably STUPID? LOL

Other conservatives in Congress. RP wanted 100% of HIS interpretation of the Constitution or nothing. He gets nothing. LOL

      • Joe McPlumber says:

“RP wanted 100% of HIS interpretation of the Constitution…”

No he doesn’t want the Constitution “interpreted” at all. Words mean what they mean, and when the words are the fundamental law of the land it’s dangerous to pretend they mean something other than they say.

Only liberals want the Constitution interpreted because there’s nothing in it to advance their agendas. It’s more politically expedient to consider it a set of rough guidelines.

If it worked that way then God would’ve given us Ten Suggestions.

      • tex2 says:

Answer me this: Is the War Powers Act unconstitutional? LOL

  3. SWW says:

    >>>Dr. Paul is taking on the whole establishment.

That pretty much sums it up…

  4. EconKen says:

Tex2. Do you mean selling out and playing “team politics” He would have lost all his credibility if he had sold his vote to whoever would help him. Most people are getting tired of buddy buddy politics and want someone who sticks to their principles no matter the outcome. Considering Paul’s policies actually help the average person, sacrificing them for political muscle would be bad for economic realities.

    • tex2 says:

No, I don’t mean selling out and playing “team politics.” I mean engaging his brain and understanding he won’t get 100% of what he wants, because NOBODY does. Because he was so stubborn for two decades, he accomplished NOTHING. ZERO. NADA. LOL

  5. dl says:

so tex2, are you saying that paul should have set aside his principles and honor and joined the other congressmen in lying, cheating and stealing from the american people just so he could form alliances?

    • tex2 says:

Of course not. The Constitution was specifically DESIGNED such that no single individual could get his way, as stupid or as brilliant as they may be. The fact that neither you (by “you” I mean all Paulites) or RP “gets” this is laughable. LOL

      • mike says:

I think Paulites “get” it more than you think they do, pal.

      • pff136 says:

You’re absolutely right that the Constitution was designed so no individual got his way. Paul supporters do understand this (all supporters). But alliances with the corrupt by compromising your values and what you know to be wrong is not the way to go. That has been done so much that our country is in trouble. We needed a lot more “Ron Pauls” in Congress. If our elected officials actually did what they are supposed to do (adhere to the Constitution), we’d be much better off. Paul did his job correctly. He did what we taxpayers paid him to do. He didn’t do it alone. I don’t know how many times he’d stand alone in Congress giving speech after speech to a near-empty room. He was doing his job. He was trying to educate the rest of Congress in hopes they would join him. It was about representing “We the People”, not making alliances by compromise. No more compromise.

      • tex2 says:

        mike/pff136,

Thanks for making my point. LOL

  6. Ann says:

To build alliances in Congress, you have to compromise your principles and vote against what you know to be right. In this day and age, that means voting against the Constitution and Ron simply won’t do that. If he had built the kind of alliances you talk about, he would be no better than anyone else in the race.
His stalwart stance for liberty and Constitutional government will serve him well before it’s all over.

    • tex2 says:

      See above. LOL

      • proud says:

Nice to know you stand by America and her Constitution. Youa rehjthe very reason our once great nation is failing. LOL

      • tex2 says:

I took an oath to protect the Constitution, so you’re right, I do stand by America and the Constitution.

Ron Paul’s lack of intelligence is the very reason our once great nation is failing, because for two decades he insisted on 100% of HIS interpretation of the Constitution or nothing. You get nothing. LOL

      • RonPaul2012 says:

the constitution was meant to control government not people so your argument is wrong. it is to make sure the government doesnt get to big or powerful.

      • tex2 says:

Where did I state the Constitution was meant to control people, not government? You’re a LIAR. LOL

It’s “too” big, not “to” big. You Paulite/Paulbot/Ronulans are SO stupid. LOL

    • Surfisher says:

      Ann — excellent post!

      What does a compromise entail:

Compromise — worth noting its logical meaning (the degradation of principles into eventual nothingness).

When the highest principle (let’s call it “A” for absolute) is bartered to achieve a compromise with a lower one (“F” for failure) — a compromise is reached, creating a lesser principle (call it “B” for barter).
Thereby, the now LESSER principle “B” becomes the NEW “highest” principle.

When “B” is renegotiated as a compromise with another low point — then “C” is created as an even lower standard NEW principle.

Then “C” reaches a compromise with “D”…and so on.

Reason clearly shows that continuous compromises lead to eventual disappearance of all principles.

Yet, many think that to compromise is the way go, to GAIN SOMETHING TEMPORARILY, at the expense of something IRREPLACEABLE, the LOSS of true principles!

      • tex2 says:

Plus, it’s worked so well for RP not to compromise! LOL

      • Your definition of compromising is our definition of selling out the Constitution. Go swim in a pit of vipers and try to compromise with them. I’d like to see how far that gets you.

      • tex2 says:

Ron Paul’s “peace and love” mantra is very close to that, the terrorists and evil countries would eat us alive with him in charge. LOL

      • DT says:

        tex2

Thanks for parroting the Neo-Con FEAR Tactic. LOL. For the sake of our Freedoms and Liberties, Neo-Cons, like YOU, need to be Marginalized and Vilified. The “Cancer” of FEAR, promoted by the Neo-Conservative Movement (and yourself) should be “cut-out” and cast onto the Dung Heap of FAILED Human Governance.

      • tex2 says:

        DT

Thanks for parroting the “1960s love and peace” tactic. LOL. For the sake of our Freedoms and Liberties, Paulites, like YOU, need to be Marginalized and Vilified. The “Cancer” of naivety, promoted by the Paulite Movement (and yourself) should be “cut-out” and cast onto the Dung Heap of FAILED Human Governance. LOL

  7. Roy Garner says:

Get a life Tex you worthless troll.

    • tex2 says:

Your Facebook “Paulbot” symbol says it all. But it looks like you lost the brush on the top of your head: http://www.allanimation.com/tametoyolema.html LOL

You need to get a life you worthless Paulite/Paulbot. LOL

You Paulites/Paulbots accuse others of “following the leader” issues, yet you blindly follow Ron Paul’s “freedom at any cost” mantra. LOL

      • pff136 says:

So you’re obviously not a Paul supporter. I’m trying to figure out what you do support? This is not about just blindly following Ron Paul. Read the Constitution. Read the “Declaration of Independence”. Learn about the Federal Reserve (how it started, how it manipulates the money supply, how that manipulation directly affects all of us). Learn American history and why the colonists did the things they did. Those who believe in giving up freedom for a little safety deserve neither (Benjamin Franklin said this but I paraphrased). Learn about the military/medical industrial complexes and how they make their money. They don’t give a rat’s rip about the American people. Learn about the coming collapse of the dollar (and for what?). All of us are going to lose in the end when the dollar collapses (we’re almost there. It’s only worth about 5 cents if it’s original worth when the Fed was created). They are printing the dollar out of existence. The more dollars you print, the more devalued it is. This is reflected in our everyday prices on everything. We are heading towards Weimar-Republic style hyperinflation. John Williams (Fortune 500 top economist, Austrian economics) has been using the old formulas to figure out where the economy really is. We are on the verge of a complete collapse. Weimar was the precursor to Nazi Germany. The people became so despondent that they were willing to follow anything. We are concerned with educating our fellow Americans about their history, Constitution, freedoms, rights, so that we can win our country back. Right now, the people are losing their voices very quickly. Big money interests (bankers, corporations, military/medical industrial complexes) are attempting to control everything (our elections, media, laws, etc). They are not working in our best interests. This is why we do not want compromise anymore. We don’t have time to compromise. This isn’t about Ron Paul’s lack of making alliances. This is about the American people being asleep for far too long. We are the ones responsible. We fell asleep at the wheel and we’re about to pay for it very soon. The reason we seem so obnoxious and obstinate and look like we want “freedom at any cost” is because the United States is running out of time. I don’t know who you support. If you support Romney, we don’t because his economic advisor is a Keynesian economist (central economic planner). Keynesians are what caused the Great Depression to be “great”. Obama is also a Keynesian so it matters not whether Obama or Romney wins. Both get big support from Goldman-Sachs and big banks. Neither Romney nor Obama will do anything about the currency debasement by the Fed, rather they will accelerate it. Gingrich is a globalist. He is in favor of a new system in this country with no Constitution. He even wrote the forward to Alvin Toffler’s sequel “The Third Wave” which was about letting the Constitution go in lieu of a new international government. Newt is still a member of the Council of Foreign Relations and his votes often reflected his globalism. Santorum is suggesting he too would be a central economic planner. I’m sorry but I don’t want a president that is going to force his religious views on me. When I see people like you laugh at why we care so much, it makes us very sad because we are trying to get you guys over the paradigm shift. Because YOU don’t understand what’s at stake, we keep trying. We know how much some people hate paulites and it doesn’t matter. You guys are Americans too and we know you are still on the other side and need to understand what is actually happening. This is why we don’t compromise. Our military is trying to tell you what is going on by supporting Dr. Ron Paul so strongly. They are trying to wake up the masses. Listen to them. Many Americans have died protecting our freedoms. Let it not have been in vain.

      • tex2 says:

Even IF you were right about everything you said (and you’re not), the tactics Ron Paul has used for the past two decades are all wrong. THAT is what the Paulites don’t understand. LOL

      • He supports spamming Doug Wead’s blog for attention because he feels slighted by him and wants to be a thorn in his side. See, Tex2 mismanaged over $100,000 as an Amway distributor and ended up losing it. Like any other Asperger’s Syndrome suffering sociopath, he can’t blame himself and needs to make it someone else’s fault.

Doug had a good experience with Amway and posted about it here on his blog early on. That’s how Tex2 found this blog — through his obsession with all things Amway. And since Doug doesn’t play along with Tex2’s delusion, Tex2 goes out of his way for his attention… even to the point of telling lots of obvious lies about Ron Paul.

Tex, you’ll never get your money back, nor your sanity. Amway is too big to fail. You are a gnat to them. IF they did anything wrong, they’ve already won by driving you insane.

      • tex2 says:

How do you know how I feel? LOL

You’re merely displaying your stupidity. LOL

Millions lost money to the Amway Tool Scam because we were lied to by Doug and people like him, just as Bernie Madoff lied to his “marks.” LOL

You’re merely displaying your stupidity. LOL

You are again diagnosing a condition you are not qualified to do, and trying to do it over a blog. LOL

You’re merely displaying your stupidity. LOL

I have all the Amway information I need from Doug. LOL

You’re merely displaying your stupidity. LOL

Name a single lie I’ve posted about RP. LOL

You’re merely displaying your stupidity. LOL

Time will tell whether I get my money back, and then some. LOL

You’re merely displaying your stupidity. LOL

You are not qualified to diagnose insanity, and a real doctor wouldn’t do it over a blog. LOL

You’re merely displaying your stupidity. LOL

Bernie Madoff wasn’t too big to fail, neither were MCI, Entergy, Adelphia, etc. LOL

You’re merely displaying your stupidity. LOL

This “gnat” caused a team of lawyers to show up to nearly every single court hearing I had. LOL

You’re merely displaying your stupidity. LOL

      • Oh, that’s right, you’re obsessed with Bernie Madoff too. It’s probably part of your rampant anti-semitism, and it blinds you to the truth about him — he was a mere sacrificial lamb. He’s probably sitting in a country club prison or in another country living under a new name with a new face. They let his wife keep a lot of the stolen money, remember?

      • I don’t see any dollar figures on your link, so it’s a non-sequitur disguised as proof. Try again.

I think you’ll see that my random link is more factual than your random link. here’s all the proof you need to see you’re wrong!

        So STUPID! LOL

      • tex2 says:

There probably aren’t any publicly available dollar figures, you dipstick. But here’s another indication:

    • Surfisher says:

      @Roy Garner —

But the #2 has no life —other than the one you are giving it by responding to it.

Left alone, it will be reduced to talking to itself.
Thus fulfilling its only function here — that of this forum’s Court Jester.

  8. Jerry says:

Ann! never argue with such a stupid person. The will drag you down to their level, and beat you with their experience.

    • tex2 says:

I agree, DT, dl, Roy, and Jerry are REALLY stupid. LOL

However, I won’t beat you with experience, I will beat you with FACTS. LOL

      • mike says:

you have yet to recite any fact.

educating you is like feeding medicine to a dead person.

      • tex2 says:

FACT: Ron Paul has NEVER, after two decades of being in Congress, authored and pushed through Congress a single bill. If he can’t do this, how could he possibly lead a country? LOL

      • DT says:

        Surfisher

This tex2 guy doesn’t bother me in the least. In fact, I’m finding that it’s a great way to “use” his Nonsense to promote the message of Freedom and Liberty. People know what tex2 is all about when they read what he writes. It’s all Nonsense. I haven’t read ONE COMMENT who agrees with this guy. What does that tell you? LOL

      • tex2 says:

It tells all of us this is a Paulite/Paulbot site filled with IDIOTS. LOL

      • Tex is just an attention whore with too much free time. His wife Danice told me… at the no-tell motel yesterday. LOL

      • tex2 says:

Michael Smith is just whore with too much free time. He told my pimp at the no-tell motel yesterday. LOL

      • Actually, I’m a “man-whore” .. the laydeez pay me well. Jealous? Tell your wife, Danice, that I have to cancel tonight, mon ami. LOL

      • tex2 says:

And my pimp says the guys pay even more. LOL

    • Surfisher says:

      @Jerry —

Why are you giving further internet ‘life’ by responding to this #2 Court Jester?

A troll such as the #2 is most likely a 300+lb, 30+ year-old, pimply “teenager” that lives in Mum’s basement. It’s only life consists of non-stop driveling net postings, with short breaks crawling up the stairs to raid mom’s refrigerator.

Why are you responding to it — you only give it the nourishment it needs to live on the internet. Cut it off — never directly respond to a troll (but once, putting it in its place) — with no-one responding to it’s trolling, it will be reduced to talking to itself (the function of a Court Jester…and that’s all this #2 is).

  9. Surfisher says:

See, now it’s talking to itself.

As a Court Jester it is fulfilling its role.

    • tex2 says:

See, now Surfisher hasn’t said anything of substance at all on this entire thread. LOL

As a Paulite/Paulbot it is fulling its role. LOL

  10. Surfisher says:

One debates his peers — not one’s inferiors (such trolls as #2 are one-time instructed, and then forever ignored).

Post your excellent observations — but do not respond to it when it replies. Just start another post ridiculing its mental defects (and never respond when it replies…always start a post YOU INITIATE…never respond to one it does)!

Thus you starve the needed attention all trolls need to survive.

See how it’s crumbling now, by trying to engage me in an exchange.

  11. Surfisher says:

Excellent proof of NEVER responding to trolls — see how the #2 is doing a #2 on itself, by hystarically talking and cackling at itself (since no-one is responding to its drivel).

    • Surfisher says:

Mitt Romney could become one of the greatest Statesmen in US History! He’d be the Savior of our Nation — the one that generations to come would tell their children: “Look at this statue, this is Mitt Romney, he saved America”!

Or, he can reduce himself to just a tiny footnote…what is amazing is that his fate rests in his own hands (a very rare occurrence throughout the history of the world)!

All Romney has to do, is to take advantage of this rarest of historical moments, and make a SINGLE DECISION!!!

Withdraw his candidacy IN FAVOR of Ron Paul, with the following grandiose and heart-wrenching patriotic speech (to save his political skin):

“I, Mitt Romney, will sacrifice my political goals for the Good of the People. Now I understand that only Ron Paul can save our Nation. I agree with all he stands for, therefore, I have deemed that our Nation’s salvation can only be accomplished when Ron Paul is elected as President of the United States of America. Without regret, but with joy, I do the most honorable and patriotic deed I can — I withdraw myself from this election, and give my full support to Ron Paul!”

One honest person is needed to bring these logical conclusions to Romney’s PERSONAL ATTENTION (not the myopic sycophants surrounding him and stroking his ego by chanting wishful thinking as ‘fact’: “You gonna win Boss, you gonna win Boss….).

Regardless how egotistical, arrogant and narcissistic Romney may be, some semblance of reasoning of what’s best for him, should still remain in his skull. The instinct for self preservation dictates that even the smallest of minds will chose the path that leads to safety, not the one leading to disaster.

An honest realist needs to talk to Romney one-on-one — and explain the following to him, so Mitt can comprehend it:

      1) If you don’t win the nomination, than your political career is over (you’ll become just a tiny footnote in US History as a failure).

      2) If you win the nomination, and don’t defeat Obama — which is the most probable outcome (you’ll become just a tiny footnote in US History as an even LARGER failure).

Therefore, Dear Mitt, whichever gamble you take from the above, may lead to total disaster for your political career (and probably will)!

However, here is an action you can take, Dear Mitt — WITHDRAW IN FAVOR OF RON PAUL, AND PLEDGE YOUR TOTAL SUPPORT FOR HIM — that guarantees you’ll become immortalized in the annals of US History (becoming the 21st Century Savior of America by your sacrifice)! Surely this carrot of success will entice Romney’s egotism to go for it (over the probable political beatings he’d receive otherwise)!

All one needs to do, to assure Mitt’s Historical Greatness of Sacrifice for the Good of the Nation, is to present the above to Romney’s eyes alone! I urge all able to do so, to place this document in front of him!

Send this to Mitt Romney — as an Open Letter, e-mails, etc. — the more you send, the greater the chance he’ll get to read it!

    • tex2 says:

Did you mean “hysterically” You’re so stupid, it’s hysterical. LOL

  12. Surfisher says:

As expected — the little hooligan did its #2 again — beside being the Forum’s Court Jester, now it acts as a pedant (my personal spell-checker — think I’ll keep it in this capacity also, since it amuses me).

  13. Surfisher says:

But of course, this #2 unclean hooligan will do his #2 in a cistern (the vessel holding clean water)…after all, it knows no better hygiene.

    • tex2 says:

Of course! But it’s not because I don’t know no better hygiene…LOL

And I also wanted to give you, in particular, a very special “thank you” for posting a new message, the back and forth discussions within a thread get a bit messy! LOL

Jesse, thank you for all your hard work. I love Scott Horton but he’s not right to jump on you like that. I trust Ron and the campaign totally.

  15. Surfisher says:

How about this: Democracy Stolen (any reply on your part — non-trolls only)…?

  16. tex2 says:

Who needs facts to prove fraud, just make the charge! LOL

Actually, RP would do better with machines that counted backwards, he gets so few votes! LOL

  17. Surfisher says:

Again, the Court Jester #2’s again on himself by a weak sophism — a troll, is a troll, and a troll that only talks to himself…or Mr Ed….

  18. Surfisher says:

40,000 New Laws for 2012 — was the heading the day before end of 2011.

None of the Democrooks or the wannabe Republicons said a word of what this actually means!

Only Ron Paul knew the meaning — 40,000 (forty thousand!) more new things the government prohibits you from having the freedom to do this year, and from now on!… (on top of the millions of other ones you are not allowed to do for the many decades such NEGATIVE Laws were passed in previous years)!

Can anyone name a dozen notable Positive Laws passed in the last decade (meaning: Yes, we the US Government trust You, the US Citizen, to have the Freedom to do this….!) — I doubt it… but 40,000 MORE Negative FEDERAL Laws are in force this year — meaning NO — we, the Government will FORCE you, by penalty of Fines or Incarceration, YOU the US Citizen, in 40,000 new ways from exercising these particular freedoms!

And these NEGATIVE Laws are a THOUSAND TIMES compounded on the State level, County, City, Burroughs, even neighborhoods!

It is amazing that the supposedly erudite Media lack the education, or are simply told by their bosses, NOT to state what the Great Roman Cicero warned nearly 2000 years ago — The more Laws a Nation has, the less Justice the Citizens will have!(by inference — less Freedom)!

That as of now we have lost most of our Liberty is obvious — since one can name Hundreds of Thousands of Negative Laws that The State tells us NOT TO DO upon penalty!
And no-one can show Positive Laws passed that are even a minute fraction of this Travesty perpetrated by the Ones in Power against the American People!

So, Ron Paul says: Respect the US Constitution! Which if anyone can remember is all about Positive Laws — You have the FREEDOM to do this, and this, and that….

No one else is saying a word about his crucial issue!

    • Surfisher says:

      Pass it on…

ILLEGAL EVERYTHING — Must-Watch special aired on FOX! See it below:

It is estimated that nearly 500,000,000 as of 2010 (and each year EVEN MORE are passed) — about 1/2 billion — NEGATIVE Laws/rules/regulations are on the books, meaning: “You, the US Citizen, cannot do 1/2 billion things, because we, the Government, have deemed such actions ILLEGAL.”

More Negative Laws than the total count of US Citizens (including babies, children, and adults in our Nation)!

The Arrogance of Office is best displayed by this pernicious Sophism: “Ignorance of the Law is no excuse”.

No sane person can expect an individual to memorize all the names of the 312 million US Citizens — but same individual is expected to know the EXACTITUDE of ALL 1/2 billion LAWS (or be penalized for the IGNORANCE)?!

The Great Roman Statesman Cicero stated: ‘The MORE Laws in a Nation, the LESS Justice for the Citizens’ — nearly 2000 years later, Cicero’s warning rings true: *More Laws = Less Liberty*!

Only Ron Paul speaks out against this Government approved TYRANNY — the rest are silent-partners-in-crime!

‘How to Chop Down the Tree of Liberty and Succeed’: A Politician’s Handbook (Chop it at the base, and the People may revolt, but a barely noticeable branch at a time, for as long as it takes, will work for sure).

In the beginning, the Citizens had the Freedom to walk all paths. Then Government decided that some paths are not good for the people, so closed off a few paths. Now, the People had Freedom to walk a few less paths. Encouraged by this, the Government passed even more laws telling the People what other things they cannot do (because it is for their own good). Pleased with the outcome — the Citizens’ obedience — the Government went into the full-time business of Manufacturing Laws (rules, regulations).

Since Politicians produce nothing of intrinsic value — they found their calling in writing stuff on paper, telling people what not to do (“for their own good” of-course).

As of 2010, it is estimated that there are about 1/2 Billion Negative Laws/rules/regulations on the Books telling the People what they CANNOT DO upon threat of punishment (that’s more Laws than there are US Citizens)!

Headlines at end of 2011 read: 40,000 New Laws in effect for 2012. Translation — 40,000 more paths each Citizen has lost the Liberty to walk. The crude graph below is for visual effect:

    11111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111

Are the Citizens this blind, not to see the end result — the eventual straight-and-narrow path Government wants to dictate its Subjects to walk….

  20. Surfisher says:

    Mitt Romney = Judas Goat

If not aware of this olden days’ meaning — here it is:

When sheep are led to be slaughtered, they instinctively feel something is wrong. So, mill around and bleat, but won’t enter the gate leading to the one waiting to smash their heads with a sledge hammer. So, a Judas goat is placed in the pen. The Judas goat is trained to associate with sheep or cattle, leading them through the gate, and passing it safely — while its own life is spared, the ones flowing get their brains bashed!

Mitt will lead us — and at the end of the gate, Bama will wield the sledge hammer….

  21. Surfisher says:

Ah, I see the little #2 Court Jester is posting some more amusements for us. Dance Pagliaccio, dance…I command thee to entertain us with your antics.

    • tex2 says:

      Sure, no problem. LOL

Why Ron Paul would NOT be a good president:
      1. He is old, mousey, whiny, grumpy, skinny, etc. Do not underestimate the importance of these factors, as a very large number of voters are not familiar with the issues, and vote for vanity. Sad but true. It does no good to have good ideas when you don’t have the presidential image, and Ron has neither.
      2. He has been in Congress for 2 decades and doesn’t have a single bill to his name. We elected someone president with zero accomplishments in 2008, why would we want to do that again? How can you expect him to be able to lead the country when he can’t lead a single bill to fruition after 20 years?
      3. He even voted against his own bill to audit the Federal Reserve, because he didn’t get every single detail he wanted. He is so stubbornly rigid he simply takes his toys and goes home if he doesn’t get every little detail he wants.
      4. Many of his domestic policies are admirable, but how does he expect to implement them when he will have to work with Congress to get many of them turned into a reality? Will he simply hold his breath until Congress lets him get his way, because he has zero track record of using any other tactic to be successful?
      5. Most of his foreign policies are dangerous. If we pull out of foreign countries, the vacuum WILL be filled by Russia, China, etc. Once you lose your toehold, it is VERY difficult to expand military operations if the need arises. Think about how hard it would have been for the U.S. to fight Hitler if England had fallen. For example, if China decides they don’t want to allow free flow of oil, we would have no recourse, as it takes years, if not decades, to develop independent energy sources. He is simply naive to the point of being a traitor to his own country. Also, we need forward positioned military presence to fight the global war on terror. It isn’t being fought only in Iraq and Afghanistan, there are operations literally around the world preventing future 9/11 type attacks that simply cannot be fought by guarding our own borders, 9/11 should have taught us that. We must therefore disrupt the terrorist cells wherever they are, so they cannot organize, plan, recruit, train, equip, and attack again. To not do this would be suicidal.
For the above and other reasons, Ron gets the pot smoking and “freedom at any cost” crowd, and that’s all he will ever get. LOL

    Hi, Doug. NICE POST!

Here’s a beautiful video, by David Icke, on Paul. I thought it went well with this:

  23. tex2 says:

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2012/apr/10/pruden-why-wont-rick-santorum-and-newt-gingrich-qu/: Opening sentence: Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich are as irrelevant now as Ron Paul to the selection of the Republican presidential nomination, and they both know it. They both know that Mitt Romney can start planning his coronation in Tampa. LOL

  24. Thoughts by Jamie says:

Reblogged this on Thoughts by Jamie and commented:
    It ain’t over!

  25. tex2 says:

Now that Santorum has officially bowed out, and Gingrich virtually pulled out over the weekend, I’m sure RP will get all of their delegates and ride off into the Tampa Bay sunset with the Republican nomination locked up! LOL

  26. Surfisher says:

Barring an Act of God, BO will defeat Romney handily.

BO will outspend Mitt at least 2-1 in ads, and most likely will concentrate on his flip-flopping (all he has to do is run this video as his attack on Mitt).

    • Surfisher says:

Santorum had to quit before the PA vote — or his political career would have been over once rejected by his own Pennsylvanians (who dislike him most since they known him best). Now, he bows out gracefully with political career in tact, and most likely has already cut some deal with Mitt.

      • tex2 says:

He was elected TWICE in a largely democratic state, no small feat. LOL

However, I do agree Romney’s upcoming slimy commercials would not have been good for his longer term aspirations. LOL

I doubt he’s cut a deal with Romney yet, it will take some time for the scars to heal. LOL

    • tex2 says:

It is FAR too early to predict a winner. LOL

You may be surprised how much money comes Romney’s way. LOL

Barry hasn’t been exactly a success for the past 4 years, and it will take a LOT more than a single video to sway votes. In fact, the main voters Romney needs, the moderates, flip flop more than libs or conservatives, so they can relate. LOL

Barry WOULD have had a field day with Ron Paul. LOL

  27. Surfisher says:

It is most likely a 300+lb, 30+ year-old, pimply “teenager” that lives in Mum’s basement. Its only life consists of non-stop driveling net postings, with short breaks crawling up the stairs to raid mom’s refrigerator.

LET ME deal with the little troll, and by the time I’m done with it, it will be trained like a dog. So well heeled, will likely change its handle to: “little Pavlov”.

        tex2

Gee. I thought about it some more. Maybe Mitt Romney is my guy. What do you think? After all, we all need to “Rally Around” the Republican Establishment Candidate now that Santorum is out of the Race.

      • tex2 says:

Why didn’t you follow Surfisher’s instructions to not respond to me? Shame on you for being a bad, very bad, Paulite and not following instructions! LOL

Why do you think I share this guy’s views 100%? LOL

However, I am against being a dino-con. Do you know what that is? LOL

      • DT says:

        tex2

Then of course, there is President Obama. Maybe you may want to consider voting for Barry. He’ll take good care of you.

BAN *tex2* from this site IMMEDIATELY — Never allow IT to post here again! ALSO, DO NOT RESPOND TO ANY OF ITS TROLLING !

Dear, Doug — this is your HOME page, and all of us posting here are your guests. Don’t know about your tolerance level, but mine ends when an unwelcome guest tries to set my home on fire, in order to chase out all the welcomed people I’ve invited!

No normal exchange can be held here — since the #2 quickly fills in all REPLY slots….so no-one else can respond sequentially to what was stated before. This is its main goal (secondary is its spittings of hatred to all that’s good)!

The #2′s strategy is simply hitting the REPLY button (posting some vitriol), then another REPLY button — thus VIRTUALLY HIJACKING any thread from allowing others to directly respond to the original post.

PUT a STOP to IT — send Doug the needed message/program to BAN/BLOCK this Shill from his blog!

  29. Surfisher says:

Our Future, as a Free and Prosperous Nation is too precious to ALLOW any Troll, such as the #2 — by its hijacking of all threads— to confiscate this Forum away from us (where Real Americans are trying to converse on what’s best for the US)!

Vote YES to BAN the “tex2″ creature — your votes will be counted, and submitted to Doug!

    Dear Doug Wead,

How can we have confidence that you are capable of managing Ron Paul’s campaign, when you are unable to manage your own blog?

On any other Forum the destructive manipulations of “tex2″ would have been removed by a moderator, and the creature banned (regardless how many IP’s it uses, there are programs that can track and block them).

On this, and even OTHER forums, I’ve read people saying that while they read your blog, they won’t post on it — since they don’t want to be verbally abused by the #2. Their take is: Why bother posting or replying here — the #2 is going to hijack the thread by peppering it with insults and non-sensical multi-replies….

In the last 30 days, IT has posted more times than the combined total of all other posters (also, ITS total word count exceeds that of the rest)!

Many good people are leaving your forum because of the above. Unless you take care of it, why should we stay?

Are you paying attention to the people voting to BAN this waste-of-protoplasm?!

So far the vote to BAN it from your site is:

It isn’t being fought only in Iraq and Afghanistan, there are operations literally around the world preventing future 9/11 type attacks that simply cannot be fought by guarding our own borders, 9/11 should have taught us that. We must therefore disrupt the terrorist cells wherever they are, so they cannot organize, plan, recruit, train, equip, and attack again. To not do this would be suicidal.
For the above and other reasons, Ron gets the pot smoking and “freedom at any cost” crowd, and that’s all he will ever get…LOL!

The Passion of the Christ is a good movie, but I don’t know if I want to watch it THAT many times in a row, so let’s take a break from this repetitious “program” and allow other readers to comment on the below serious and real issues that result in baggage for Ron Paul. Tell me what you think, let’s have open and honest discourse, and since I’m a First Amendment kind of guy, even the “list” above is welcome to chime in:

Why Ron Paul could not be elected and/or would NOT be a good president:
Rmoney — “Staff, get me some internet trolls to spew forth hatred towards my opponents.”

        So they run this ad:

“Looking for 300+lb pimply failures that live in mum’s basement.
Must be hateful of all that’s good (since you hate yourself most because of the waste of protoplasm you’ve become); unable to crawl away from the computer, so mum gives you monthly sponge baths (also, occasionally removes the bedpan).
Why post your venomous spittings for free, when we’ll pay you handsomely to be our Shill — a fistful of food stamps and a bottle of hooch each week!”

That’s how the #2 got this “lucrative” job — why troll for free, when it can shill for so much more….

        (hope I didn’t misspell ANYTHING important….)

      • Surfisher says:

Ron Paul MUST stay on course — keep up the uphill battle to win as many delegates as possible (that the GOP does not prevent him to do, by their obvious chicanery)!

Ron Paul needs to take Rmoney to Tampa. Then, the PERFIDY of the GOP will be Nationally telecast (hundreds of thousands of Real Americans supporting the only Patriot (RP), vs a few hundred mousey sycophants for Mitt Grosny, will be hard to dismiss)!
        —————————————————————————

The American People have long known that the Democrat Party cheats and lies — so they are used to their chicanery (the reason, many call them Democrooks).
It is high time that they NOW see the GOP is no different — the Republicons fraud, cheating and strong-arming to “elect” Mitt Grosny, may finally have a televised exposure!
        ——————————————————————————–

After the Tampa Convention — which will probably be the most memorable of spectacles this last 50 years — Ron Paul should take the best path that assures he’ll be part of the Presidential debates vs BO.

Ron Paul MUST be part of the Presidential debates — so, people can judge the difference between a real Human and plastic sub-humans!
        —————————————————————————————

It is not unprecedented for a candidate to be the standard bearer for more than one party (I think in 1896, William Jennings Bryan was the nominee of the Democrats, the Populist Party, and the Silver Republicans; and I believe in 1872, Horace Greeley was nominated by the Democrats and also by the Liberal-Republican Party).

Doug Wead — hope you have similar strategy in mind!

  36. Surfisher says:

“Former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson could pull as much as 6% of the vote in a hypothetical three-way match-up with Mitt Romney and President Obama. Johnson began the 2012 race running for the Republican nomination but has wound up carrying the libertarian banner and could gain ballot access in several states.”

If the above transpires, it is a certainty that Mitt will not defeat BO (with his flip-flopping, he couldn’t defeat him anyway, now this would assure it).

So he needs to withdraw now in favor of Ron Paul!
    ————————————————————————-

Ron Paul WILL become President in 2012 — IF, Romney becomes a Patriot, and forgoes his ego, for the Good of the People!

Now I understand that only Ron Paul that can save our Nation.

However, here is an action you can take, Dear Mitt, that guarantees you’ll become immortalized in the annals of US History — becoming the 21st Century Savior of America (surely this carrot of success will entice Romney’s egotism to go for it — over the probable political beatings he’d receive otherwise)!

    *Mitt Romney, American Parasite*

(Mitt Grosny — Romney The Terrible (my prefered title))

    http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article31153.htm

It explains how Bain Capital worked. They would buy SUCCESSFUL companies, with little down, borrowed huge amounts, saddling them with crushing debt, refused to continue equipment purchases or maintenance. Then they would pay themselves huge “management” fees.
    —————————————————–

    Some notable excerpts:

“Romney is not a vulture capitalist, as Rick Perry says, since vultures eat dead carcasses,” notes Josh Kosman, who has written about the private equity business for 15 years. He’s “more of a parasitic capitalist, since he destroys profitable businesses.” (The host must be healthy enough to be force-fed all that debt, then slowly bled to death…until the parasites drain all the wealth for themselves).

“When Bain was about to buy a company, its partners would hold a meeting. “He said that about half the time [they] would talk about cutting workers,” Kosman says. “They would never talk about adding workers. He said that job growth was never part of the plan.” That claim was buttressed by the Associated Press, which studied 45 companies bought by Bain during Romney’s first decade. It found that 4,000 workers lost their jobs. The real figure is likely thousands higher, since the analysis didn’t account for bankruptcies and factory and store closings.

“The Armco plant closing involved more than the torching of 750 jobs, Morrow says. Contractors and suppliers collapsed. Workers’ children and widows lost health care and pension benefits. And while Bain received millions in tax breaks—paid for by the very people left holding the bag—Romney walked away millions richer.”

Ron Paul to WIN — or America to End 2012

Take your pick…there are no other options!
    —————————————————————
Ron Paul must take Rmoney to Tampa — to expose the GOP’s perfidy — when hundreds of thousands of Real Americans will come to the Convention voluntarily, supporting Ron Paul, the ONLY REAL AMERICAN PATRIOT in this race (vs a few hundred BUSED Rmoney bullies pretending they are actual people)!

If the Republican Convention cheats Ron Paul out of The Nomination — then, go Third Party!

There MUST NOT be a way allowed, for Rmoney to “debate” BO one-on-one — since this will be a Clowns’ Show (two liars trying to out-lie each other…when they are one-and-the-same HUMAN TRASH)!

Ron Paul MUST be part of the DEBATES — so, he can clearly show up THESE politically trained monkeys for what they are — The ULTIMATE Destroyers of the USA!
    ————————————————————–

Elect Ron Paul as President, if you want to Save America — vote for anyone else, if you WANT to DESTROY the USA!
