Cheney for president?

Well, we now know that Dick Cheney is positioning himself for a presidential run. His challenge to Barack Obama on Gitmo will cast him as a “conservative” alternative and his position in favor of gay marriage will cast him as a “moderate” on social issues. If there is a major terrorist act on American soil between now and November, 2012, Dick Cheney will sound prescient and he will definetly be in the mix for the presidency.

Of course, the American public is getting good at reading mediaspeak. They know, for example, that Cheney’s position on Gitmo doesn’t really make him a conservative at all. A true conservative, having proven himself a loyal vice president, would now officially break with the policies of George W. Bush, whose off the books Iraq War bankrupted the country. Nor would a “conservative” engage in massive bailouts and the printing of trillions of dollars in new paper money, resulting in the largest transfer of wealth in the history of the Republic. No, Bush did not raise taxes, he just dilluted the value of the dollars in our pockets giving billions of his new money to Wall Street bankers. At least Obama will give some of his new monopo;y play money to the lower middle classes through armies of laborers rebuilding the nation’s infrastructure.

Nor is Dick Cheney a moderate on social issues. Cheney made it clear that he will challenge the Evangelical Christian hold on the party and on any and all social issues he will be liberal.

What does all of this mean to the other players in the GOP? For example, will Karl Rove finally have a horse to ride? Insiders say no but Cheney could overrule his own staffers who are telling reporters that Rove is radioactive, with high negatives. Cheney would be exactly Rove’s kind of man, the latter privately insisting to some GOP leaders that the party must shed its relationship with Evangelical Christians. Meanwhile, Sarah Palin and Mike Huckabee will presumambly split that vote giving Cheney an opening. At least, that is the scenario painted by Cheney advocates. Where Mitt Romney fits is not stated.

What is impressive is how dramatically Vice President Cheney reemerged in public this past week. He challenged the untouchable, ultra popular President Obama on the very subject that had been his first success. In his first act as president, Barack Obama had signaled his end to the culture of torture by closing Gitmo. Obama received international applause for the decision and the Republicans totally caved on the issue. Yet Dick Cheney, with one well written and well argued speech, won respect and wide coverage for his views. It was the logic and the power of his arguments that thrust him back into the spotlight. It is something seldom seen in modern politics.

  1. Cheny’s health is too big of an isse. I predict he won’t run.

By the way, Congress could have put the war dollars on the books, and could have changed the Wall Street laws, so there is plenty of blame to go around.

Looks like that Xango doesn’t help you think clearly.

  2. So it’s okay to claim you are conservative but not follow conservative doctrine when it hits “close to home”?

That’s like claiming to be Christian and then calling people “jew boy” and “kike” on various websites.

  3. I think this is the only site I used those words, so your “various” is quite limited, like your intellect.

  4. You and the new Obama administration are so quick to keep blaming the Bush white house for our current econonomic problems, or the “off the books”? war that congress voted to fund, but never give credit for him & our troops keeping terrorists attacks from reoccuring by those policies-. I wouldn’t call closing Gitmo without a closing plan a big success nor is dolling out trillions to failing companies sound economic sense- with the cost of all this will land on future generations. You must be drinking mangosteen juice from Costco!

  5. This country needs someone who will be strong enough to take on the challenges of whatever comes along whether it be gay marriage, terrorist activities, or monetary troubles.
Since we live in a country where we can speak our minds freely, we also need to keep in mind that we are heavily watched by the outside world.
What we say and do is a reflection of who we are as a nation. We need to let the world see us as a strong nation; one of diversity, yet unified in the thought that we are free men and women who come together to fight for the common good of our people.
There are always those who would just love to step in and take over when we aren’t watching or when we’re so caught up in our own pettiness, that we are unaware of the breakdown in our society. That’s when we can be easily led by “sweet-talker” politicians or worse–some raving lunatic zealots!
Remember the saying, “A nation divided against itself cannot stand.” Keeping this in mind, we have to work together to find the answers to this nation’s problems.
If Dick Cheney can rise to the challenge, I’m all for it! I wouldn’t mind seeing a Cheney/Palin ticket myself! But that seems so far into the future, you’d have to have 3″ thick glasses to envision that and rose-colored ones to boot!
    Peace, and God bless!!

  6. If someone defends torture, I don’t see how they can consider themselves a conservative. It also prevents them from ever having credibility in a moral argument. Republicans/conservatives used to embrace and defend civil liberties and the abuse of government over individuals. Somehow, we lost that. Truthfully, Cheney, along with Bush and anyone else involved with torture should be investigated for possible breaking U.S laws that forbid it.

Doug makes some excellent points though that George W. did more harm to our safety, our civil liberties and our financial well being than good. Cheney, I’m afraid was a large part of that.

As for the Gay marriage issue, I think conservatives need to realize we probably don’t want the government to have ANY say so in what marriage is or isn’t. Marriage is between me, my wife and in our case, our God. The state has nothing to do with it. Constitutionally, the Federal government has no authority to rule either way. I’d prefer the states not have a say so either. Conservatives should vote “no” on any attempt to allow same sex marriage, but they should also vote “no” on any measure to define it as only that of a man and a woman. It’s not the government’s job.

  7. mvanwink,

Who has defended torture? Would you prefer we didn’t waterboard the 3 guys and allow their planned attacks to occur? You can’t have it both ways.

Regarding Bush/safety/civil liberties/finances, have you ever heard of martial law/war conditions? What if he didn’t enforce the Congress approved laws after 9/11 and we were attacked again, perhaps multiple times? What would you say about our safety/civil liberties/finances? You can’t have it both ways.

If the state should have nothing to do with same sex marriage, why would there even be a vote? You can’t have it both ways.

  8. Tex, you are right, you can’t have it both ways.

Weatherboarding and the other things used at Guantanamo are torture. Cheney has defended the decision to use them. As for the planned attacks, there hasn’t been definitive proof that there any were prevented by it. So, to your both ways point, we have no right to go around telling other countries like China they are mistreating or oppressing their citizens when we practice torture.

We live in a free and open society where the government is prevented from infringing on the rights of individuals. The Constitution is written specifically to prevent us from having martial law conditions. We as citizens should never give up or freedoms in the name of “safety”. The Patriot Act is one of the biggest violations of civil liberties ever. The fact that the FBI, under that law, can write their own search warrants with no judge and then prevent you or anyone served from even mentioning it – even in court – violates multiple items in the bill of rights. So does the wire tapping without warrants. I’m all for the government working to keep us safe, but I expect them to work with in the rules established – especially the Constitution. So, you are right, you can’t have it both ways. Living in an open and free society means we may not be 100% “safe”, but that is a risk we take to avoid having a tyranical government that is able to control too many aspects of our lives, our movement etc.

As conservatives, we also can’t get upset about the size of government if we also condone things like The Patriot Act, the Department of Homeland Security, etc… By the way, you bring up a good point about Congress. They are just as bad about understanding what they have authority to do. If you read article I of the Constitution, there are only 17 things they have authority to do. Many of the laws that are “Congress Approved” are not on that list or violate other portions of that document. Just because they vote on a law doesn’t make it right. I would expect the President to help defend against that.

As for marriage – that’s exactly my point – there should be NO votes. While I personally believe that marriage is something between a man and a woman, I have no desire to give an already over burdening government any latitude into more of my life. Voting on ANY law defining what marriage is effectively gives them that precedent. Again, as you said, we can’t have it both ways. We, as conservatives, can’t complain about the size of government and how they have gotten into our lives and our wallets (Republicans and Democrats) and then turn around and ask them to weigh in on matters they really have no authority to do so.

  9. You have concluded waterboarding is torture. It isn’t: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torture

Several high level officials (FBI, CIA, etc.) have clearly stated several attacks were prevented. Are you so naive you don’t understand the need for secret information, to not tip off our enemies how we obtained the information? Or are you one of them? What China does to their own citizens goes far beyond what the U.S. has done to 3 terrorists. There is no comparison.

You need to read what happened during WWII. Our citizens had to live with MANY constraints in order to win the war. Even president Lincoln declared martial law, during the Civil War. What Bush did under the Patriot Act was approved by Congress and isn’t close to martial law. It was a response to the 9/11 attacks. How soon you forget. This is not to say the initial reaction is still appropriate, so contact your Senator/Congressperson and get them to change it. The Constitution doesn’t address martial law directly, but it does provide conditions for Habeas Corpus, which is pretty close to martial law.

I expect the state legislators to stand up to the Federal executive/legislative branches, and they are apparently doing that recently: http://news.google.com/news?q=10th%20amendment&rls=com.microsoft:*:IE-SearchBox&oe=UTF-8&sourceid=ie7&rlz=1I7GGIE_en&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&hl=en&tab=wn

The trouble with your marraige position is there are laws that allow virtually any issue to be voted on, if you pass around a petition and get enough signatures, so it isn’t adequate to say you’re not in favor of bringing it to a vote – the horse is already out of the barn.

  11. Intellectual and ideological dishonesty now controls this blog.

Doug Wead, ever the con artist, has willingly surrendered control to the bottom feeding potato eaters, the people who, like Barry Hussein Obama once suggested, “cling to their guns and religion in tough times.” The recent mosh pit of bickering soap and cleanser hucksters witnessed on this blog is testament to that. I have not witnessed such an assembly of rubes since I had the unfortunate experience of once visiting Branson, Missouri, back in the 1990s.

Wead really should re-enter politics because the manner in which he slings pandering bullcrap is expert.

Doug claims to be a conservative but he can’t help but pander to populist sentiments …

“At least Obama will give some of his new monopo;y play money to the lower middle classes through armies of laborers rebuilding the nation’s infrastructure.”

A true conservative is self-interested and doesn’t give a rat’s ass about those who haven’t amassed a record of self-made success.

I would always invest in Wall Street, even after their mistakes, than throw money at the lower middle class who have never built anything but poverty and misery.

Wall Street has built this country. Big business has built this country into what it is … the Rockefellers, the Carnegies, the DuPonts, etc. If not for them the little peons of this nations would have have known what to do because their feeble little brains could’t self-direct.

A smart investor doesn’t invest in losing stock (the poor). A smart investor takes risk on those who have a better chance at success (Wall Street).

Wead knows this, but won’t admit it, because he can’t bear to lose his base. He needs people. I don’t, which is why MY blog, when it was active, was perhaps among the only true and honest blogs around. It clearly identified my own personal conservative principles, defined right from wrong, good from evil, along very distinct black and white lines, as it should be. No gray areas exist in the world of David Black. No real conservative acknowledges gray areas. No one holds my leash, either. I know what constitutes winning from losing. I don’t back losers, only winners. I don’t have the time or patience for anything else.

Dick Cheney is right, the GOP must ditch the evangelical wackos in order to get anywhere in the future. They are a sick cult of sub-IQ bohunks, rednecks, and inbreds who can’t lead themselves through life by their own minds and wits. I despise the fact that my party is being hijacked by their creepy presence and agenda.

I don’t need a bible to tell me what’s morally right and wrong. Neither does anyone with a brain who isn’t afraid to use it.

I used to be a prolific poster to this blog but there no longer seems to be any point when the primary audience Wead attracts represents the nadir of the GOP and the conservative movement. Certainly the support for Ron Paul is evidence of that. It’s these very people that I so despise that are partially responsible for the loss in last year’s POTUS election. These very people are restricted to particular geographic locations within the USA. It would please me to no end if the union were carved up into smaller sovereign states and permitted complete autonomous rule. Let the urban gangbangers and crackheads of color occupy one part of the country. Let the white bohunks occupy another. Let California and Texas each exist on their own. Leave the northeast to itself. I’d rather contend with northeast libs than a conservative from down south.

Go ahead, folks, keep on and on about saving a 200 year old contract that is rapidly becoming more and more irrelevant as time passes. Forget the fact that survival and self-preservation at all cost should be your number one priority. Since I returned from Israel in the 1970s I’ve looked at the world as little more than a jungle. The rule of law in the jungle is elemental. Too bad so many of you think that life represents something more.

I predicted years ago that this world crisis would ensue. I felt it a necessary means to thin the herd and separate the weak from the strong. I devoted the last thirty years to insulating my flesh and blood from most any horrific outcome. My family even survived 9/11 when our city was attacked. I am accustomed to the bunker mentality.

    How many of YOU are?

  12. EDIT: If not for them, the little peons of this nation would not have known what to do because their feeble little brains couldn’t self-direct.

  13. Salesmen and politicians are essentially the same animal. Suggesting that Doug Wead is a con artist is really a compliment, because I can reasonably believe he’s not manipulating others for nefarious purposes.

The skilled salesman and politician employ the ABC method (from the play Glengarry GlenRoss) “Always Be Closing.” They work very hard to manipulate feelings and moods in other people to serve one end … themselves or their agenda, to “buy” the product, whether it’s soap or a public policy proposal.

Personally, I always felt that such manipulation was disingenuous. My family manufactured men’s suits for forty years. We didn’t have to push them on people. The craftsmanship and quality of the materials sold the product. Store buyers only needed to examine them carefully to realize they had a potential winner on their hands. My father and uncles didn’t lower themselves to performing a song and dance for anyone. They essentially told buyers and if they didn’t buy our suits, someone else will and they’ll lose in the end, because our suits are the best. That “take it or leave it” approach worked. It was direct and no-nonsense, just like them. Our suits sold and the rest was history.

So people that rely on wheedling others to get what they want aren’t looked upon too favorably in my world.

  14. Your definition of a true conservative is WAY off the mark.

You may want to crack open a Bible that you say you don’t need to understand how wrong you are.

David Black – he may be wrong, but he’s never in doubt.

The Republican Party wouldn’t exist, or be nearly as conservative as it is without its religious base.

You don’t live in Israel, you live in the U.S. It’s largely the U.S. Constitution that keeps us from being a jungle. You probably wouldn’t be managing your daddy’s wealth for a living if it wasn’t for the system he operated under, so you should be thanking your lucky stars.

Back to your bunker, we missed you less than you missed us.

I use the same “take it or leave it” mentality when presenting the Amway business, and I also choose to leave your boorish opinions on the BS dung heap where they belong.

  15. That’s right, because I piss on your low rent poor man’s entrepreneurship masquerading as legitimate business. Imagine a room full of rubes wearing cheap aftershave and ill fitting off the rack suits chomping on fried chickenwings and washing it all down with cheap lite beer. That’s an Amway convention.

Rednecks and most red staters from the Southern US are the ones who deserve to be dispatched to the dung heap, along with all the Jesus freaks.

  16. You don’t have a clue. All you know is playing Rambo in Israel for a short time, inheriting daddy’s wealth, and thinking you’re a hero and successful businessman.

You can try to pit south versus north, but all you do is show your lowbrow understanding of the UNITED Stated of America. I’ll let Jesus take care of you, in good time.

  17. I was teaching English to European refugees on an Israeli kibbutz that came under attack. I didn’t ask to be part of any war but I had no choice to participate because my own survival was being threatened as well, along with many innocent men, women, and children. I wasn’t on a safe naval vessel ship firing missiles at unseen targets on land like you. if you dispute the safety of a naval vessel, perhaps you can list the number of US naval vessels that were sunk since 1990.

United States of America is a concept I can’t even recognize anymore, that’s it. I certainly don’t want to feel associated with a nation comprised of poor white middle class rednecks, inbreds, hillbillies, crackers, and Jesus freaks who shop at WalMart, drink cheap beer, eat fried foods, and spend weekends inhaling gasoline fumes while watching fellow redneck morons race cars around a track.

And I certainly don’t want ANY association with black gangbangers, crackheads, hip hoppers, potheads, and street criminals who wear their pants down around their knees and speak in an indecipherable form of gibberish that’s supposed to be English.

So that the “United States of America” I’m supposed to cherish? You’ve got to be kidding.

You can’t even prove that Jesus even existed beyond a book of folk tales. You’ll need more than that to make me take heed.

  18. Why were you teaching anything to refugees? I thought we’re supposed to think only about ourselves, or we’re not a real conservative. Did you have the hots for your future wife, and overlooked this error? Nothing except raging male hormones makes any sense to me, given your lack of concern for others.

Here’s a couple of well known examples, I can’t think of any others off the top of my head: http://digital.library.unt.edu/govdocs/crs/permalink/meta-crs-9590:1 I served on another warship about 3 years prior to this incident, in the same area, and had an almost identical experience, with the exception of our folks directing our fire control radar on the approaching jet, which made the right decision and veered off prior to firing a missile, because he would have had one of our missles up his butt if he had waited a second or two longer. There are MANY similar incidents like this you never hear about, for a variety of reasons.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Cole_bombing

Neither of these ships sank, yet many sailors died. As I said before, you have NO concept how vulnerable a ship is at sea, or even while in port. NONE.

The U.S. has always been diverse, and included negative elements, and it’s fools like you that think the sky is falling.

I’m not going to try to prove anything about religion to you, I know when to shake the dust off my feet and walk away.

  20. “Why were you teaching anything to refugees?”

I was hired to do so, which is how any real conservative operates.

I asked about sunk naval ships since 1990, and you cite an article from 1987. Plus, none of the ships cited even in THAT article sank.

So no ships since even Vietnam sank. It’s no wonder the rest of the military forces laughs at the navy because they don’t fight on the ground where the real hell takes place.

The USS Cole didn’t sink, did it?

Face it, you were in the safest place and you act as if you had nearly sacrificed your life. What a joke. When you can say you saw the people that wanted to kill you face to face then you can say something to me.

  21. ” I despise the fact that my party is being hijacked by their creepy presence and agenda.”

Gee, I could have said that too, but with ever so much more justification.

When something is being hijacked from those that already did a prior hijacking, there is nothing wrong with the subsequent, rectifying one.

It is your people’s agenda that is creepy, and hijacked the original Republican stance. Whether or not one agrees with the neo-con agenda, it is NOT what the Republican party stood for until the 70’s.

Not even Reagan, who allowed himself to be swamped by the neo-cons, espoused most of those positions for most of his career.
And prior to the 1970’s, we had true Republicans like Senator Taft, or Senator Buffet, who represented true Republican values.

As did Charles Lindbergh, and most of those opposed to FDR’s agenda.
Just because you don’t like these people, doesn’t mean they are not true Republicans, espousing true conservative values, but rather, that you happen to believe in the hijacked version of the agenda.
You are opposed to people like these, because you are not a true conservative.

    “European refugees”
What a joke. Refugees from what? Just because they paid a mohel to make them fit into the law of return, doesn’t make them refugees from anything. Escapees to a possibly better economic future, perhaps, but refugees.

Being a sailor is not dangerous? Why do you not tell that to the DOZENS of dead American sailors, and over 100 wounded, on the USS Liberty? That ship didn’t sink, despite the best efforts of your favorite Air Force and Navy. And the perpetrators of this attack paid less in restitution for all casualties, than the Klinhoffers got for one murdered person on the Achille Lauro.

You should get out of our party, and take your neo’s with you. “Neo” because you were NOT there first.

  22. You were hired, no problem with that. But how could you stoop so low to actually help others while employed? This goes against your well advertised “philosophy.” Plus, a real conservative owns a business, and is not interested in having a job. Like your daddy did. You still aren’t the conservative you claim to be, all you do is manage the wealth your conservative daddy made.

I could only think of one since 1990, what’s so magical about 1990? I STATED neither ship sank, but many people died. Do you think they care if the ship sank or not? Or their families? What’s your point about a ship sinking versus people dying from an explosion?

The rest of the military doesn’t laugh when naval bombardment softens up their landing, or the aircraft carrier planes support the troops on the ground, or when sailors die in missile/bomb attacks.

I was far from the safest place. The safest place is in New York, managing your daddy’s wealth. What a joke.

Just because I wasn’t dumb enough to go into a war zone on land to teach refugees English doesn’t mean I have nothing to say.

  23. Like I told you before, murray teynnensweig, back when you had the balls to post to my blog, there’s nothing more pathetic than a self-hating Jew who doesn’t support the State of Israel unconditionally.

You are a Jew first before anything else. “American” is not a bloodline, neither is Republican.

You are no better than these inbred redneck paleo-cons from the southern US and other red states who have always hated America’s unwavering monetary and military support for Israel.

Refugees are only escapees? Are you aware what Communists were doing to Jews behind the Iron Curtain?

Murray, you’re still and always will be a clueless moron. Keep waving that flag for that equally clueless old schmuck Ron Paul and see how that acquires more power for the GOP for the foreseeable future.

  24. “The safest place is in New York,”

I guess your feeble brain forgets what happened on 9/11/01 and WHERE it happened.

There was no war in Israel when I arrived there to teach European refugees fleeing from Communist totalitarianism.

  25. “Jew” isn’t a bloodline, either. It has mixtures of all kinds of different nationalities.

The “red” states are the only reason Israel exists. Barry O. would throw them under the bus in a heartbeat.

The Russians were doing the same things to their own people, killing them. Stalin alone took care of what, 20 million?

Compared to the Persian Gulf, it’s still much safer. Don’t give me your victim/martyr mentality, moron.

You still haven’t answered the question of WHY you were there instead of helping daddy make the money you now manage. Chasing after your wife, raging hormones?

  26. “Jew” isn’t a bloodline, either. It has mixtures of all kinds of different nationalities.”

The neo-nazis that post to stormfront.org claim the same thing.

“Chasing after your wife, raging hormones?”

I suppose being attracted to the opposite sex is a foreign concept to you. Given the full time nature of your internet crusade, you certainly can’t have a wife and children, that’s for sure.

  27. Your favorite victim/martyr site isn’t the only ones saying that: “http://www.jewwatch.com/jew-genocide-palestinian-israeli-race.html”

At least I got you to (finally) admit your reason for being over there. Took you long enough to admit it.

I’m happily married with children. You’re a dork, that’s for sure.

You need to listen to more of Rush Limbaugh, unless he isn’t enough “conservative” for you. Rush has it right, Obama means the exact opposite of whatever he says. Barry is an accomplished liar. Here’s one take: “http://www.nst.com.my/Current_News/NST/Wednesday/Columns/2578092/Article/index_html”

  28. “Refugees are only escapees? Are you aware what Communists were doing to Jews behind the Iron Curtain?”

Of course the main point was that many of these “refugees” are about as jewish, as the german ones that went to Germany were german. The latter had a german shepard to prove their ethnicity, the former “paid a mohel” to make them fit.

And, BTW, communism ended 18 years ago, any purported repression earlier than that. So, again where are all these refugees coming from, as they are still arriving to this day. What repression?

As to that repression even before, say, 1988:

Ever heard of M. Chodorkovsky? (of course you would see this gangsters current treatment as repression).
He was allowed to /able to go to USSR university and study chemistry. He was allowed to (co)-found the bank Menatep (which was “successful” because it paid HIGHER than average rates) in the 1980s. He then leveraged up that money to buy ex Soviet assets for less than a song.

Repression? Signs of privilege more like.

What about Sakharov? Repressed because of his internal exile? Hardly. He even owned a dacha in Zhukovka, next to Brezhnev’s family, and Stalin’s daughter. Another neighbor was Mistislav Rostropovich. This settlement was and is reserved for the most priviledged members of that society. He also is of course the co-developer of the Russian H-bomb. Any repression that may have been visited on Sakharov was due to what he said/did, not due to what he WAS. Sakharov could never stop being Jewish, yet for most of his life, was priviledged, not repressed.

These are just two examples of russian jews who were not repressed among many others. Not being allowed to emigrate? Neither were other russians.
General religious repression, perhaps, but again no singling out just russian jews.

As to the treatment of prominent jewish communists, such as Trotsky, Zinoviev, or Kamenev, that was not due to their religion, but to their political disagreements with Stalin, and not having prevailed there.

The specifically worse treatment of russion jews under the communists, compared to any one else, is a myth.

And, as you do know, or should if you have lived in Israel, many Israelis themselves have their doubts about much of these “refugees” belonging in that society, and their unwillingness to integrate.

  29. Both of you would have made great company for James von Brunn.

His website had been taken off line, so you’ll have to go back to stormfront. org and jewwatch for your marching orders.

  30. You would make great company for a rock.

I saw some of his site just prior to it being taken down. If I substitute “red neck” for “jew” on his site, it reads just like YOUR comments. LOL

  31. Jews are a race. Rednecks are not. Rednecks choose to be rednecks because they are too subintelligent to be anything else.

“You would make great company for a rock.”

Which would be preferable to racist scum like you and Murray. I see by looking up your internet posting history that I’m not the first to have judged you to be racist scum. The only person that doesn’t seem to think so is your alter ego Dave Robison.

  32. Real rednecks are more of a race than jews, because of the inbreeding, which does lead to diminshed intelligence. You didn’t pay much attention to the link I provided showing how unpure the jewish bloodlines are, did you? Does that make you a subintelligent redneck jew? LOL

You’re a lot closer to Murry when it comes to racism, you 2 are merely on opposing sides. I love all peoples, even YOU and Murray.

The reason Dave doesn’t think I’m racist is because he’s one of the few bloggers who have met me in person, in Prague. You could do the same via telephone conference call, which you can find on my blog at: “http://texsquixtarblog.blogspot.com/2009/01/talk-to-tex.html”, but you’re probably too chicken to talk to me, because you KNOW I would blow you out of the water with a verbal missile. LOL

  33. “Weatherboarding (sic) and the other things used at Guantanamo are torture.”

mvanwink is as dumb as a bag of rocks! No wonder LOSERtarians are laughed at and ridiculed! Besides, these Guantanamo Bay prisoners aren’t human. They are murdering vermin who want to kill Americans and Jews and should be treated like the vermin they are.

That’s how you regard the enemies of this nation, you dehumanize them.

  34. And before some of you know-nothing lunatics start making comparisons of my assessment of Islamofascist prisoners to that of Jews during the Nazi regime, let me say one thing.

Jews in Europe during the 1930s were not on a world wide killing spree like Islamofascists. They weren’t flying jets into skyscrapers, either.

Jews in Europe in the 1930 were innocents whose only “crime” was being Jewish.

Dehumanization is justified if the right people are targeted. Muslims who kill and Muslims who do not stop them are appropriate for such labeling.
