Re: Yesterday’s blog.
Now I am getting a lot of unwanted e-mails trying to identify the former governor and senator that I referred to in my last blog. No, I am not trying to protect elitists in the Republican Party, just being courteous. If I had thought it would help anyone to mention their names I would have done so.
Some erroneous speculation centered around those who had recently written books. But let me point out that they were having me on the television show to talk about the Jenna Bush Wedding because I had written an earlier book called All the Presidents’ Children and that was published in 2003! So, authors are always promoting books, I did not say whether or not their books were recent and speculation about some of the names mentioned is quite unfair.
Forget, the so-called conspirators for a sec, certainly it is no surprise that machinations at political conventions are calculated. From my e-mail box and some of the comments to yesterday’s blog, I am not the only one who is onto this treatment of Ron Paul. And let me assure those of you who attend these conventions and are bewildered by sudden changes in the stated rules or the total disregard for rules at all, it is not accidental. And don’t blame yourselves. Joseph Stalin once said, “The power does not belong to the voter. It belongs to the one who counts the votes.” LOL. Welcome to Soviet America.
Nor should you draw conclusions on what television network… here are a handful of shows that I was on that weekend.

Thanks for putting this out there- if more media types had the courage to challenge both parties’ elites, we wouldn’t be in the shape that we’re in now.
Hi, Doug
I scanned some of your interviews. I like the two part political answer and ruthless answer of history, concerning the issue of most beautiful bride on FNC.
You present a good combination of knowledge and humour while on television.
