The Ronulans are among us: How Ron Paul’s delegate strategy is actually working

On they come, marginalized by the media and ridiculed by the Republican establishment.  Their votes are often rejected at precinct caucuses, their voices ignored by temporary chairmen who flout their own rules and pretend that they have the votes for their prearranged delegate slates.

On one occasion a crowd of onlookers shouts objections at this fraud, only to be subjected to prearranged organized arrests for “disturbing the peace.”  Some participants openly weep, in shame for the obscenity of such blatant corruption.  Others become angry.  In Missouri, a weary delegate is seen vomiting by the side of a building, sick over what she has just experienced.

In Kentucky they show up to find that their name is on a list prohibited from participation by the County Chairman.  He claims he did a drive-by the day before and they had a Libertarian sign in their yard and therefore cannot participate in a GOP caucus.

In Nevada the microphones are only allowed for favored candidates and are turned off when a young Hispanic tries to speak.  There are lots of Hispanics among this crowd. Parliamentary rules are ignored.  Prospective delegates are intimidated.

In Virginia, they are tricked into leaving the building, told that if there is no quorum the vote can be delayed until the rest of their people show up.  But once out of the building the County Chairman, herself, locks the door so they can’t get back in.

In Alaska, election times are changed and their names are excluded from robo calls announcing those changes. Participants from all of the other campaigns are invited.  Insiders are reportedly allowed to vote in caucuses by telephone conference calls, meanwhile, young people who show up are turned away in droves, saying they are too late or not registered, in spite of showing registration documents.

In Maine, a county chairman cancels the caucus, knowing that they will have a strong showing.  A GOP official transfers false data and her phony numbers are caught by a local newspaper.

In an Oklahoma county convention a corrupt chairman adds new delegates who didn’t attend precinct caucuses and eliminates those who actually did.  Another establishes a credentials committee which eliminates anyone under the age of thirty.

And yet, on they come, in spite of the pain, the inconvenience, the open hostility of the Party bosses.  They are like a tide of the ocean.  And for every precinct or county where they are violated or cheated, there is another where their sheer numbers prevail.  These are the Ronulans, the Ron Paul supporters, trying to take back the Mothership from the corrupt Empire.  And unseen, unheralded by the national media, they are showing signs of success.

In Seattle they overwhelm the 46th and 36th legislative district delegate elections, electing their own chairman, and winning every single one of the 21 delegates to the state convention.  The rejected former GOP chairman, pouting over his loss, walks off the stage with all of the Party ballots and scanners, perhaps believing that they cannot have a meeting without the Republican Party’s technology.

They out-organized us says a Romney man.  The same thing happens in the 36th District, where the Paul’s supporters vote down a Romney contrived “unity slate” that claimed to represent all of the other candidates.  Weeks ago the Associated Press claimed that Romney would win 30 of the Washington State delegates to the national convention, Ron Paul, they reported would win 5.  But it is turning out to be very different.

In Minnesota, where the AP projects 37 delegates for Santorum, 1 for Gingrich and 0 for Ron Paul the difference between media and reality is even more stark.  In Carver County, Minnesota (suburban Minneapolis) Ron Paul supporters show up in force securing 30 out of the 52 delegate slots that will go onto the State Convention.  Reports across the state are similar, especially in the suburbs.  In most of them Ron Paul supporters account for at least a third of the delegates that will go to State.  Theoretically, if they could unite, a Santorum-Paul deal could split the whole delegation to Tampa and deny Romney all but a few.

It is the same story in Missouri.  Here too, Senator Rick Santorum won the statewide beauty contest but is seeing the delegates being swept away by the Ronulan tide.  Ron Paul sweeps the St. Louis City Caucus and doubles the nearest delegate winner, Mitt Romney, in Jackson County (Kansas City.)  It is a dramatic showing.  In the Sixth Congressional District, Dr. Paul bags the whole lot, winning every single delegate to the State Convention.

Santorum wins Christian County but it is a bittersweet victory.  The County Chairmen himself openly declares “voter fraud.”  Videos and written eye witness reports abound on what really happened.

Perhaps the most dramatic contest centers on Greene County. (Springfield, Missouri.)  This is the home to the national headquarters for the Assemblies of God and the Baptist Bible Fellowship, of Jimmy Swaggart and Jerry Falwell fame, respectively. The Ronulans extend a hand of cooperation to the Santorum people but it is rejected. And who can blame them?  Santorum had carried the County by 54% in the statewide, non binding, contest.   The Romney people quickly step into the breach, make peace with the Ronulans.  The end result is a delegation to the State Convention that is 59% Ron Paul, 36% Mitt Romney and 5% Rick Santorum.

Again in Boone County, (Columbia, Missouri,) Ron Paul organizer, Bruce Summers tries to strike a deal with Santorum supporters and is flatly rejected.  The Ronulans promptly elect a new chairman of the caucus and the Romney supporters, seeing the math, fall into line, offering to join with the Ron Paul forces just to be able to get a piece of the delegation that will go onto State.

Santorum forces become so defensive over the invasion of young Ronulans in Cass County that they make a deal with Romney they didn’t have to make.  Just to be certain of keeping out the Ron Paul supporters, they give up five delegates to Romney, their main rival for the GOP nomination.  Like the Ron Paul deals with Romney, it is a tactical decision of strategic incompetence.

In Iowa, where it all began last January, where the Romney State Chairman delayed reports that Santorum had really won after all, they have announced a new State Chairman.  He is A.J. Spiker, the State co-chairman for Ron Paul for president.  And still, the AP delegate tracker suggests that split of delegates from Iowa will be Santorum 14, Romney 12, and Ron Paul 1.  Clearly, if the Ronulans can replace the Romney State Chair with their own man, they will get much more than one delegate to Tampa.

So who are these Ron Paul supporters?  They are young.  He carried 48% of the youth vote in Iowa, 47% in New Hampshire, while six other candidates split the rest.  They are Hispanic.  He carried 52% of the Hispanic vote in Clark County, Nevada ( Las Vegas) while all of the others split the rest.  And they are Independents.  In a recent CBS poll he did better among Independents than all other candidates including Barack Obama.

And that means that they are the future.  It means they are going to keep coming.  They cannot be stopped, only delayed.  And not for long.  They are coming.  They are coming.

Fantastic news! Thanks for the pep talk. Not only is our political climate disturbing, but the idiocy of our economic policy is more and more evident every day.

    • tex2 says:

ZAP!!! Captain James T. Kirk just blasted the Ronulans away with his PLB (Proton Libertarian Blaster! The galaxy is now safe, at least until 2016! LOL

      • buzby says:

dude, that’s like..sooo last century. you can stick your fingers into the chest of a ronulan, like agent smith, and try to turn her back into a duracell with your liquid metal groupthink ooze, but a ronulan is awake! beams of light will pierce and crack and obliterate your corrupt attempt at control. ronulans are free! and will fight to the death

      • tex2 says:

dude, RP’s like..sooo 18th century. The RP campaign is already dead. LOL

      • tex3 says:

Now thats humorous, the Ron Paul support base is huge. If you want to see a joke, google “Santorum”. And his campaign is a joke too. LOL

  2. Garrett Coon says:

God bless you, Mr. Weade. Your position among the growing pantheon of the Re-Founding Fathers grows all the more well deserved by the day.

      • Jt says:

I think you should have said “Thanks Garrette” just to follow suit. =p

Seriously though, you freakin rock Wead.

      • tex2 says:

I thought it was “Weed,” how else could you support RP?

      • Marci says:

Thank you, Doug, for having this essential communication tool availed U.S.! :) I deeply appreciate your listening whenever I’ve written & definitely see the results of your continuing dedication in helping U.S. in our cause for Freedom & Sound Money–RonPaul2012!!! What will we do about recapturing the delegates & votes that are rightfully Dr. Ron Paul’s in states where the electronic box, gop, or others have rigged it against We The People? Dr. Paul’s Mission for California Must Be To Get to the Heart of the Housing & Banking Crises!!! :) I did all in my power to get as many to NBC March 20th for Leno Show as possible, considering that I am not presently a paid inside the National Campaignway. :) Would love to get a wonderful project going more fully to ensure a strategic win for the Sleeping Giant Bear state! :) Have great ideas, but we must get the CA HQ to Promote This Election for Ron Paul & our nation! There seems to be some conversation about 2016, but WE KNOW THIS WOULD BE DISASTER TO GIVE UP FOR 2012!!!! THANK YOU!

tex2, you shouldnt smoke dope, maybe that is your problem. LOL

      • tex3 says:

Mr Weade, I would like to say that I appreciate your appearances on mainstream, I never can get enough of you applying un-arguable logic to the corp media audience. Im sure you have them scrambling after you provide a clear understanding of the delegate process, while at the same time, handicapping their ability to put their spin on this election regarding their tool, the straw polls. While they are trying to create a “perceived” winner, you clear the air everytime. Always with a warm tone, and a smile.

        Thank you Mr Wead

        a Ron Paul supporter

    • David Monahan says:

I don’t think there was anything more satisfying at the CO state assembly than seeing a gray-haired couple filling out their nat’l delegate ballot while passing the gold Paul slate back and forth between them.

  3. If you can’t beat them fair and square, CHEAT LIKE HELL! Jerks!

  4. Abigail says:

Thanks Mr. Wead! Your posts are very encouraging! I’m not an under-30. I’m an over-50. So much for the stereotype of the RP supporters!:)

  5. Deej says:

Another over-50, saying “yes, yes, YES”. The last line of Doug Wead’s blog is “They are coming”. That should soon change to “We are coming”, meaning all of us … young, mid, old. Age matters not in this election. It is about principle, right and wrong.

    • annebeck58 says:

And, another over-50 here (53), voting for Ron Paul.
Of course, I may have an advantage– I live in Austin, and we read about Dr Paul, often. Usually, it’s in the Austin Chronicle; the only newspaper worth the read in this town!
I am, however, an Indy- only because i would never want to be associated with the Neocons who stole the GOP!

    • amacs says:

The enthusiasm of the young has awoken the remnant. (46 yo Australian).

  6. John says:

Doug, when I heard your passioned speech at the Rally for the Republic in Minneapolis, I knew Ron Paul has a real fighter in his corner. Thank you from my heart for fighting the good fight with all of us and Ron. Keep up the excellent work for the campaign.

  7. JohnL says:

NIce. I am praying that we will have our President. Mr. Wead is right! We are coming…. And we will not be stopped.

  8. Roman Kalt says:

H.O.P.E // AND YOU ARE PART OF IT! TY!

  9. Lucia says:

I cried to read. So many individuals are giving so much…thank you. Thank you all.

  10. Tracy says:

Another over 50 supporter and I am like a proud mother when I see what they are accomplishing. They are the future. No doubt about it.

    Lovely article.

  11. Great article I am heading to an oklahoma county convention saturday and looking forward to it! Ron Paul 2012!

    • annebeck58 says:

Royce- please DO bring your camera or celphone. We still need evidence, of all voting fraud., shams, scams, to make sure Dr Paul gets a fair shake!
Of course, it’s not Ron Paul they are toying with. It is US. It’s our votes that are being discounted, our voices are being silenced. If the Neocons knew this is how we see it, they might think twice before doing it again… Then again, these people seem so used to doing whatever they want to get what they want, no matter whom they hurt, could be bravado is overriding common sense?

  12. Susan says:

Good, concise analysis of what is going on. I admit, all this “delegation” minutia is way over my head.

  13. Sharon Kuhn says:

I have never been so ashamed of the Republican Party. From this could come the demise of the Republican Party and a NEW PARTY that respects the constitution, the rule of law, and the wishes of
true patriots. Was hoping that the Tea Party would be that.

  14. Jodie says:

I’m an almost 45′er and our WHOLE FAMILY are RP supporters here in MN. Even my 18 year old daughter. And my hubby who was initially just supporting me as a RP supporter, has now turned into a supporter himself. We are all delegates and are anxiously awaiting our CD convention next month!

Thank you for this wonderful “pick me up” during this critical “in the trenches” time of the caucus process!

  15. annebeck58 says:

    Thank you, Doug!
It’s kind of ironic that I was aware of most of these scams and shams, yet, posted together like this? Even I am in awe!
Here’s how we began getting video proof of these dirty-dealings. I watched Iowa as the early votes came in, had to stop watching for about 45 minutes, and came back to see how well Paul was (still) doing. Imagine my dismay when I realized they had toyed with the Paul vote! I expected it, but I did not expect it to be so blatant– and on the “news”, too. When I left to get some work done, Ron Paul had about 42 percent of the Iowa early votes and the Santorum vote was scant, almost nil. Within that 45 minutes, the tables had completely turned, and suddenly(?) Rick Santorum was “surging”. Yet one thing really ate at me. It seemed that the number of votes for Paul were either staying same, or were actually going backwards(?), as more precincts reported. I could not believe my eyes and wished i had recorded the numbers, to start with. When I made some comments in a chat-room (as the vote was still going on), I was told: “The Ron Paul people always show up early, so their votes were ‘all’ counted early”. How kooky is that? How stupid do they believe we are?
So, disgusted, I went to bed. This was stuck in my mind. When I got up the next morning, I had an idea; WHY not video our own votes, and especially, any caucus states? The “news” folks had done virtually no exit-polls (is that a first?), so I thought we could make our own videos.
I signed up with the Daily Paul, and posted my idea, after reading up on various states’ rules and bylaws (GOP) and could find nothing to say one could not take photos or video anything. So I did post.
I was actually met with resistance and then other ideas, which I felt could not work. (one brilliant idea was this: have ALL Paul supporters wear a certain color of shirt, and then we can just count them that way. Kooky.)
Now fast forward to what will forever be known as “Stupid Tuesday”. I signed on with the Rev Pac live-feed, to chat and hear how Ron Paul was doing. Well, people, including delegates came on and complained that they had been deceived into not voting, and some claimed they were told they had to pay a “fee” of $50 at the door, then another $250 for the state convention. They all claimed vote-fraud or voter suppression. My response to all of these Paul supporters was, “Did you get proof? Where is the video?” and not one could say they had done it.
But, we had some delegates for Paul in on the chat, and they promised me (and the room) that, come caucus, they would do this. And, now, it is happening. I am THRILLED.
I hope these videos will not only provide proof of the different tactics resorted to by the NEOCONS (I cannot even call them Republicans), in order to knock out Ron Paul. I hope that everyone who will be attending any caucus (or, like me has not yet voted) will heed this advice and will bring their cameras or i-phones along with them, and will be prepared to USE THEM.
Look at St Charles County, Missouri. Look at what we were able to make happen, there, by a few people deciding to get it on “tape”. We actually have a do-over caucus scheduled for 10 April. I cannot ever recall there being a do-over, for any reason. Can anyone else think of a time and place where this was achieved? We did it.
And, while I am chomping at the bit to vote (in Texas), I am ever more proud of our Ronulans. What a great job you are ALL doing!

    • Marci says:

WE PUSH THE GOP/NRC/DNC/PTB/ETC. TO THE WALL!!!!!! THE ONLY RONALD REAGAN APPROVED, ENDORSED, & FREEDOM & SOUND FISCAL, & SENSIBLE, STRONG FOREIGN POLICY, PROVEN VOTING RECORD CANDIDATE!!! RON PAUL. PERIOD.

  16. Tony Hanna says:

This news has given me second wind. On with the fight! State by State, we will take over the GOP. That’s what a Republic is all about. Thanks, Doug.

  17. Wonderful article Doug. I’m so proud of the Paul supporters here in home state of Missouri. We worked very hard and it paid off.

  18. you can not stop an idea who’s time has come…
thank you for sharing all of this truth. :o) Blessings

  19. Eric says:

    You mean “flaut”.

    RP 2012

  20. Susan says:

I don’t agree with all of Ron Paul’s positions, but I am impressed as heck at how well organized and savvy these young people are. Obviously they have spent the last four years studying up on how to do this.

  21. Brandi says:

We are on the march, the empire is on the run!

  22. Andrew Frank says:

I love Ron Paul and I love what you are doing Doug Wead. This thing is bigger than all of us. Before Ron Paul, I was just another apathetic citizen being swept away by the corruption I thought I could ignore. I have been awakened, and I am going to get into politics in my home state. I am active duty navy at the moment, but soon I will be moving to Alaska with my wife. There, I will make a home for myself and the freedom movement. Liberty shouldn’t be debatable, and it is a testament to how far we have fallen as a nation that there is this much opposition to freedom.

  23. David Robertson says:

Rather than call them NEOCONS why not call them what they are, TROTS…TROTSKYITES…MARXISTS. I have seen GOP stalwarts complaining about libertarians. How do they feel about Communists running their party? Don’t they know that the founding fathers were libertarians for the most part?

From Scotland my very best wishes to all the Ronulans. Your work so far is very, very impressive. The world is watching and waiting for the word from Tampa…VICTORY!

  24. Connie Pafford says:

I am not under 40 either and I’m female. But at least I do understand that the youth are the future. That gives me great hope.

  25. Graeme Krone says:

I’m 55, I was the only one in my family to vote for Dr. Paul in 08!! My wife and two sons voted for BHO, my daughter voted for Mcain. Now all of them are voting for the good Dr. plus both my brothers, my mom (76y/o), and my sister are.
I really do fear for our Republic if Dr. Paul is not the nominee, he would crush BHO!
Mr. Wead, thank you so much for all you efforts, together we all can do this for Dr. Paul and make this Nation what our founding fathers designed it to be!! GO DR. PAUL 2012!!!

    • tex2 says:

Then you’re old enough to know better. So was your wife. Barry’s smear machine would pulverize Ron.

      • Tyler says:

Obama is currently running 42-42 to Paul among independents. Paul is the ONLY Republican candidate that has consistently been within the margin of error for beating Obama.

If you want Obama out in 2012, Paul is the one you should be voting for.

Tex2, continually proving your previous statement true.. Ignorance really is bliss, isn’t it?

      • tex2 says:

RP has to get past the Republicans first, IDIOT. Besides, polls against Barry right now are virtually meaningless. If you read my previous post, you would already KNOW Paul trails Romney against Barry. RP would be chewed up and spit out by the Obama machine. He wouldn’t stand a chance. Stupidity must be bliss as well, every Paulite has an advanced case of it. LOL

      • Notice; how miserable you are yet? You should do some research…a whole bunch of it, and when you want to come back and join us, like we know you will if you take the time to learn the facts, you might be welcome, but you’re just making a fool of yourself here. Thanks for the encouragement anyway though!

      • tex3 says:

Oh please, tex2. Imagine the shock of Obamas sheeple when Paul confronts him in debate about signing NDAA, HR347, etc?
Paul can expose him for plenty of unconstitutional legislation that he inked. Foreign policy….Iran, military spending? Drone strikes? Constitutional rites? The FED ruining our money? A debate between Obama and Paul would show a stark contrast between them, with Paul being the “common sense” choice.

  26. Drew Bell says:

I’m a young libertarian from the UK watching the Ron Paul campaign with great interest. Ron Paul’s victory would not only restore America – it would inspire the nascent liberty movements throughout the entire world!

    • tex2 says:

RP has very little chance of winning, largely because of his suicidal foreign policies.

      • Tyler says:

Really, I thought it was suicidal to spread your forces thin.. I’m pretty sure that bringing your forces home to defend your homeland would be the best form of defense.

Oh well, I guess we should just continue subsidizing the defenses of Japan and Germany, right?

Tex2, prominent example of how ignorance = bliss.

      • tex2 says:

That’s because Paulites can’t think. One of the main reasons we’re in Iraq and Afghanistan is to go after those who trained, financed, planned, and recruited in these countries. You’re so stupid you don’t even know it! Paulite = STUPID LOL

      • tex3 says:

tex2, you are a stubborn one. youre getting beat up here. You cant outwit RP supporters, thats is being shown here. LOL

  27. Liz says:

President Ron Paul in their text books in the future.

Keep up the good work Doug and may God bless all you

  28. Even those of us who are over 70 realize that it’s Ron Paul or nobody at all when it comes to GOP or DEM candidates.

  29. Dave says:

Great Job Doug! I am 62 & a Vietnam Veteran. With you all the way.
Go Dr. Paul! From WA. State My wife will be voting as well for Dr. Paul.

  30. Jo says:

I didn’t leave the Republican Party, they left me. When the definition of conservative was changed to mean spend more money then we have on unwinnable wars, I just stopped voting. I am so happy to see the young Republicans taking the Party back to it’s real roots. Maybe soon the day will come when I don’t have to be ashamed of being a Republican anymore. Thank You Ronulans! Keep up the good work.

  31. John Foster says:

I just got “GOP Unbound” for the iPhone. It gives a scientifically obtained best guess analysis as delegates are secured and different news makes it to press, as to what the projected delegates will be if we get to an open Convention. Remember, it would be nice to have a majority but if we have only a huge number (Paul has been bouncing from second to third place lately) it will still be ok since we (I am a potential delegate) will have a tremendous influence on who the GOP decides to nominate. Those other delegates need to vote too! And are they going to vote Romney when they know that they will lose all those Paul voters? The vast majority of Paul voters will NOT vote for OBAMA OR Romney. Polls show Obama vs Romney is already an easy Obama win. Current Polls ALSO show OBAMA/PAUL is the best odds at a Obama loss! He is currently ahead but has been back and forth from second to first all along. VOTE! And Vote Ron Paul!

  32. Lonnie Moore says:

I am 100% behind Ron Paul. I just wish we could get a big picture version of what is happening in any one state. We keep hearing, “we are doing quite well” and getting news from a few districts in some states, but is there anywhere we can definitivly state that Ron Paul will control the majority of delegates? I know that there is still more process to go through, but someone in the campaign must know how things are going in the states. Do we only hear of a few districts and counties in each of these states because they are the only ones that Paul is doing well in? Either way, I’m in it for the cause of liberty, but it would be nice to have some real ammo in my discussions with the non-believers.

    • Doug Wead says:

There is a reason we are not bragging too much. We don’t want to alert our opponents to what we are doing and – more importantly – how we are doing it. But within a month or two the MSM will see for itself that their delegate math is way off. Hold tight.

      • Lonnie Moore says:

I’m pretty sure that the opponents you speak of know what you are doing, as it is all over the internet. The MSM also admits every now and then that their delegate counts are projections or estimates. I think if there is any positive news that points to the success of the liberty movement it should be put out into the open. It may not be carried by the MSM, but it would go a long way towards motivating the patriots of the revolution.

      • tex2 says:

Tis true, the future is showing itself in the Ron Paul rally numbers, the enthusiasm, and how we are changing the conversation in Washington. The Neo Conservatives are fading in their support to conquer earth for the elitists; although a little too slow for my taste, it is still good watching the support for these people diminish and the people awakening to their treason, much like a bear waking from hibernation. I must say that this cycle has been great and I have enjoyed watching Mr. Wead tear through the media propaganda and always with a smile on his face (as Ron always said, if your not having fun your not doing it right). Win or lose I look forward to working with the CFL, and whatever organization Dr. Paul decides to lead and I sincerely hope Mr. Wead sticks with the Liberty movement as a spokesperson. With the integrity and confidence you show you are certainly a great asset to us all. Thanks for taking the time out of your life to support the underdogs and Liberty, it may be a long road ahead, but with people of your caliber by our sides it makes the rough road much easier to endure.

  37. Mike Parent says:

65+ here. I thought I knew what corruption was until I witnessed what the GOP and the Obama administration have done, recently. These people have been bought and paid for and a vote for any of them is just encouraging them to steal more. For those who mock Dr Paul, good luck with the phoney you’re supporting. Romney left MA with a 30% approval rating for his last 2 years, Santorum lost his seat by a huge margin, NG Newt, the Chicken Hawk got booted by his own party from Congressional leadership and the President, is inept and a liar, and has a terrible approval rating.

I have been following most of these delegate county conventions pretty closely…BUT i must say even in my most positive moments during the campaign, this is BY FAR the most complete update and really shows just how far we Ronulans have come and that the delegate strategy is WORKING!

Doug Wead, i salute you for being a TRUE Patriot, from your work on the Ron Paul campaign, your TV interviews(which are awesome and you should do MORE) and all around stand up guy!

this article is a must read, should be read by everybody in the liberty movement.

  40. donjusko says:

Thanks, that was a good article showing how dirty tricks will not stop us. Let me tell you of an unmentioned caucus here on Maui.
The big Island and Maui won with Ron Paul.

    Letters to:
    David Chang
    Chairman Hawaii Republican Party

    Andrew Walden
    Chair, Hawaii Republican Caucus Committee

I’m not discounting the GOP rules to allocate delegates by CD, nor am I saying there was any “funny business” w/the totals for each candidate by state.

What I am questioning is why there appears to be an adamant stance on not disclosing each individual counties results…which are then automatically summarized by CD? Why are simple requests for transparency being denied? Why is it OK to leave people in the dark on the true results that transpired in their county?

Regardless of how the provisionals were counted, each location mailed a packet from their county to GOP HQ. It is only logical to comprehend that in order for each CD’s tally to be in synch w/the provisionals submitted by location, by county…that these tallys do indeed exist.

This is the curent Google map from the GOP website page:
    http://www.google.com/elections/ed/us/results/2012/gop-primary/hi
I’m bringing this to everyones attention now as the County Coordinators have made numerous efforts on behalf of RP & our teams to acquire the final numbers. We’ve all been approached by a wealth of RP supporters & volunteers for these final numbers. In no way were any of us attempting to not disclose the results…it’s just that every effort we made to acquire them was futile.
It was only in a verbal communication w/RP HQ that I was able to press forward for a breakdown of Maui County when I found out RP won here! In the same conversation I attempted to gain the other counties as well, yet it appeared my timing was off for an answer in the moment.
On several occasions Mr. Chang & Mr. Walden were approached by various RP supporters requesting that the GOP spreadsheet & google map be updated to reflect the County totals based on the provisional ballots, especially upon learning, for a fact, that RP took Maui County & surpassed Romney by 18 votes.

    Dear Mr. Walden,
The GOP documents were to be addressed earlier this week, (google map & spreadsheet) and still there are no changes. So I am writing directly to you.
I request a full disclosure of all candidates & all county tallies based on provisional ballots.
Just this past week, the Maui News had a front page spread on the candidates…pictures & all! The problem is there was one candidate missing…who just so happened to have WON the island on 3/13!! Somethings fishy here.
Maui voted for Ron Paul and Maui should be green on the Google map, we are not Ohau.

    Yours,
    Don Jusko

Thank you Mr Wead. I’m in my 60s and have always voted republican. I am so mad at the GOP. I will not vote in the General Election if Ron Paul is not on their ticket. Also, I hope you will consider writing a book about all of this and show the rest of America how the GOP conducted themselves during these primaries–it is disgraceful.

Doug, thank you for the encouragement! You’ve picked up a new reader! I’m a 55 year old mother of 4 grown sons and I am the one who turned THEM on to Ron Paul. My husband and I along with the guys will be at our local caucus in a few weeks to help give Louisiana’s delegates to our next POTUS. Go Ron Paul!

  44. Brian Brady says:

“And that means that they are the future. It means they are going to keep coming. They cannot be stopped, only delayed. And not for long. They are coming. They are coming.”

A bunch of “old-time GOP-ers” who long for the days when Reagan spoke of Goldwater in reverent tones too, Doug. We’ll still be around for a few decades or so to help the young Republicans reclaim what was taken from us; a constitutional GOP.

Keep coming, young people. We’ve been waiting for you for some 25 years

Amen and amen! We need the new blood! We need those with the constitutional vision. We need to “go back to the future!” Back to what republican used to be and what the constitution says America is,… From: A 55yr old cold war warrior, retired Law Enforcement Officer, constitutional libertarian, Christian and patriot,….

  45. The problem is that while Santorum and Gingrich can make a deal with one another to stop Romney or one can compromise and join Romney to push him over the edge, Ron Paul has no one to bargain with in Tampa. His final delegate number will be the highest he ever performs. There is no deal to be made with another candidate or potential crossover delegates to vote for him if a second or more series of votes happens at the convention floor. He has three candidates who have several times the amount of delegates that him combined and they can/will obliterate him. Any further attempts to stay in the race only wastes the liberty movements money and time. Dr. Paul should have g
    one third party.

    • tex3 says:

Dont be discouraged, Paul supporters have taken control of many caucuses, and the only way to do that is to have the majority of delegates . google Paul supporters take over

      Bad Chuck,

      You fed the Troll.

BTW TEX2 and TEX3 are the same person and they are probably playing WOW.

Probably a Chinese farmer or something equally lame.

      • tex2 says:

You’re right, we are the same person. I set up a new identity so I could create the conflict I wanted on this blog! LOL But the issues remain:

Why Ron Paul would NOT be a good president:
        1. He is old, mousey, whiny, grumpy, skinny, etc. Do not underestimate the importance of these factors, as a very large number of voters are not familiar with the issues, and vote for vanity. Sad but true. It does no good to have good ideas when you don’t have the presidential image, and Ron has neither.
        2. He has been in Congress for 2 decades and doesn’t have a single bill to his name. We elected someone president with zero accomplishments in 2008, why would we want to do that again? How can you expect him to be able to lead the country when he can’t lead a single bill to fruition after 20 years?
        3. He even voted against his own bill to audit the Federal Reserve, because he didn’t get every single detail he wanted. He is so stubbornly rigid he simply takes his toys and goes home if he doesn’t get every little detail he wants.
        4. Many of his domestic policies are admirable, but how does he expect to implement them when he will have to work with Congress to get many of them turned into a reality? Will he simply hold his breath until Congress lets him get his way, because he has zero track record of using any other tactic to be successful?
        5. Most of his foreign policies are dangerous. If we pull out of foreign countries, the vacuum WILL be filled by Russia, China, etc. Once you lose your toehold, it is VERY difficult to expand military operations if the need arises. Think about how hard it would have been for the U.S. to fight Hitler if England had fallen. For example, if China decides they don’t want to allow free flow of oil, we would have no recourse, as it takes years, if not decades, to develop independent energy sources. He is simply naive to the point of being a traitor to his own country. Also, we need forward positioned military presence to fight the global war on terror. It isn’t being fought only in Iraq and Afghanistan, there are operations literally around the world preventing future 9/11 type attacks that simply cannot be fought by guarding our own borders, 9/11 should have taught us that. We must therefore disrupt the terrorist cells wherever they are, so they cannot organize, plan, recruit, train, equip, and attack again. To not do this would be suicidal.
For the above and other reasons, Ron gets the pot smoking and “freedom at any cost” crowd, and that’s all he will ever get. Feel free to respond Paulites, I even numbered the items for you! LOL

I experience a whole different kind of frustration with these news of foul play from the GOP caucuses because I’m not even American and I can’t participate, and I am thousands of miles away.

I admire the US so much, you guys don’t know how lucky you are to have such a well-drafted constitution which has lasted 200 years and was responsible for making the US the number 1 country in the world. Where I live, we’ve been through two dictatorships and change constitutions every 30 years or so, and they all SUCK.

I dream of being able to ditch this cesspool and go live in America one day, but I don’t know if there will be much of what makes America great left if things don’t change as soon as possible.

You’re right, Dr. Paul probably won’t be elected because the republican party is stealing his win. What do you think the “Paulites” are going to do when that happens … cry and wring their hands ? No. They are going to get even more politically involved. Eventually the ones who respect and defend our Constitution will prevail, and the reign of the corrupt politicians will come to an end.

    • Sharon Kuhn says:

You are so right!!! We are not going to quit. I think it is time to start a SERIOUS 3rd party. Both parties are wings of the same vulture.

I’m all for a SERIOUS 3rd party, but you will also need some SERIOUS candidates, and Ron Paul is NOT one of them. It probably makes more sense to start at the local level, rather than the national level, as well. The challenge is there are more stark differences between R & D at the local level, making a 3rd party harder to get off the ground. I voted for Perot in 1992, because I didn’t like Clinton and didn’t think Bush’s really wanted to be reelected.

Didn’t you see the 3 primary elections last night? Paul got his usual 5-10% vote. That has NOTHING to do with the Republican Party, it is the VOTERS who are rejecting him, for the reasons I listed. LOL

I’m sure the same thing was said in 1988, and where are you now? LOL

  58. Linda Treat says:

After reading your article Mr. Wead, my heart is swelled with hope and my eyes are filled with tears…

I am an old fat white woman who has been razzle-dazzled with the shenanigans of bait and switch, confused with cleverly disguised distractions and deceived by bald-faced lies by her duly elected officials and her government.

From my earliest remembrances I was taught to, “put my hand over my heart, and obey”, “the policeman is my friend”, and “my government will never hurt me”….and until a year ago…I believed it…

My son, Sgt. Treat, who is stationed at Ft. Gordon of Augusta, GA, introduced me to Dr. Paul.

My son kept talking about this guy named Ron Paul whom he was all excited about. I would read what my son had written on FB or I would hear with one ear what he was saying about Ron Paul while I fixed supper. I would insert all the right, “uh-huhs” in all of the right places…but I was not listening, I was just nodding and being polite.

One day I got down right pissed off with that boy of mine because my FB wall was always filled with all of this B.S. about some old man who was running for President, “A YEAR AND A-HALF FROM NOW”! I got so tired of seeing all of that Ron Paul garbage all over my wall…I just ALMOST hid my son’s posts.

Now, I know that sounds awful, but it is the truth, my boy and I had come to such an impasse over this issue, I was considering shutting him out of my life.

    However, because I love him, I didn’t.

When my son told me he was going to Iowa to work the straw poll for Dr. Paul, that kind of turned my head, I thought, “What is so special about this old man, in the ill fitting suits, and the goofy looking shoes, that my son would, SPEND MONEY, to fly half way across the country to WORK FOR FREE?”

When the straw poll was over, Ryan sent me a link for Dr. Paul’s after-speech; and because my curiosity was up, I watched it.

    End of Story…

Following the first 10 minutes …I was crying….weeping, the heart of a cynic, calloused by many years of empty guarantees and broken promises, had been buffed smooth and supple by this funny looking, tied of tongue, quick of wit and keen of eye, magnificent Statesman.

    I was awake…

This, is why there are no FORMER Ron Paul supporters…..for once you GET IT…..you cannot UN-GET IT….once the eye and mind have SEEN….it cannot be UN-SEEN…..and once your heart is in step and in line with the heart and vision of Dr. Paul and every red blooded patriot who has ever dared shake a fist in the face of tyranny, you too are a Patriot…forever.

I confide this in you, because I want you to know, you too can heal a wound between yourself and a family member through the love of your country and the message of Dr. Paul. If it can work for a battle-hardened soldier of the US Army, and his stubborn, stiff-necked mother…it can work for your family also.

My son and I, do not always see eye to eye, but I know for a fact…when the time comes and we must make our own personal decisions as to, “which side of the line” we will be on; I know my son and I will be standing shoulder to shoulder in defense of our country and the ideals awakened within each of us by Dr. Paul and his vision of “Freedom and Liberty for All.”

    To Linda Treat…

What a wonderful post. Glad you got it. I am 61 and got I it.

My kids 30,26, and 24 get it. Many people are surprised that young people get it, but I am not. They, unlike our generation, already know that they do not trust the media. They know photos can be photo-shopped and recorded conversations cut.

They are deeply interested because it is their very future and the future of their children that is on the line. There is no longer time to get this wrong and hope we can change things down the line. We are at or very near the point of not return.

Many of the people I know are against Ron Paul because they feel we MUST win this election and he is unelectable. If he can’t even win one straw poll, how can he win an election?

We need to fight this mentality in our ads or things will not change. We need to quickly get PROOF of the voter fraud and dirty tricks and expose them. We cannot let the narrative stand that Ron Paul attracts record crowds but they do not and will not vote.

    • tex2 says:

1.) Gary Johnson 2012: Seriously — Gary Johnson is running for president. Of the United States. No, I’m not kidding. But as any presidential candidate should do, he sat down with The Daily Caller for about an hour and a half earlier this week. And oh does he say some interesting things. TheDC’s Jamie Weinstein (ME!) and Alex Pappas report:

“Asked if he has a libertarian view on consenting adults having more than one spouse, Johnson made clear he didn’t want to discuss the topic, replying that ‘if you talk about those kinds of issues’ you will be ‘labeled as kooky.’ ‘And I would hate to have come out of this meeting that Johnson supports polygamy,’ he said. ‘I would hate to have that happen.’”

You think that’s awesome, wait until next week when we write about Johnson’s foreign policy.

So, apparently this Tex2 character has a beef with Doug about some Amway scam that he got burned on way back when and is obsessive compulsive enough to spam Doug’s blog for the past few years, which is probably grounds for a trip to the insane asylum. 66. Surfisher says:

Vote YES to BAN the “tex2″ creature — your votes will be counted, and submitted to Doug!

Our Future, as a Free and Prosperous Nation is too precious to ALLOW any Troll, such as the #2 — by its hijacking of all threads— to confiscate this Forum away from us (where Real Americans are trying to converse on what’s best for the US)!

    Voting starts now:

    1) Surfisher — Yes

  67. Surfisher says:

    Dear Doug Wead,

How can we have confidence that you are capable of managing Ron Paul’s campaign, when you are unable to manage your own blog?

On any other Forum the destructive manipulations of “tex2″ would have been removed by a moderator, and the creature banned (regardless how many IP’s it uses, there are programs that can track and block them).

On this, and even OTHER forums, I’ve read people saying that while they read your blog, they won’t post on it — since they don’t want to be verbally abused by the #2. Their take is: Why bother posting or replying here — the #2 is going to hijack the thread by peppering it with insults and non-sensical multi-replies….

In the last 30 days, IT has posted more times than the combined total of all other posters (also, ITS total word count exceeds that of the rest)!

Many good people are leaving your forum because of the above. Unless you take care of it, why should we stay?

Are you paying attention to the people voting to BAN this waste-of-protoplasm?!

So far the vote to BAN it from your site is:
    1) Surfisher
    2) Sharon Kuhn
    3) annebeck58
    4) christopher Deligate of Missouri

    7) sophiah8
    8) rmcnnlly
    9) BanTex2Al

    Awaiting your reply.

The Passion of the Christ is a good movie, but I don’t know if I want to watch it THAT many times in a row, so let’s take a break from this repetitious “program” and allow other readers to comment on the below serious and real issues that result in baggage for Ron Paul. Tell me what you think, let’s have open and honest discourse, and since I’m a First Amendment kind of guy, even the “list” above is welcome to chime in:

For the above and other reasons, Ron gets the pot smoking and “freedom at any cost” crowd, and that’s all he will ever get…LOL

Yeah Surfisher tex2 is probably Romney’s evil twin what I don’t understand is since he gets all his info from the neocons and the news then he should be happy and leave this blog alone as the media says Romney won the nomination and going against Obama in November and bother the Obamabots as Romeny will lose hands down but it will be worth a try for the poor Romneybots.. We educated people about what is really going on here know what is going to happen in Tampa unless the establishment cheats again then American people that have been brainwashed all these years will see the light hopefully and we can rid the government and replace it with a constitution government like it was written.. This never should have gotten out of hand but its not our faults I jsut wish our ansesters would have seen it coming but the neocons was smart and they placed these bad laws in place on the Christmas month which everyone celebrates Christmas and Jesus Christ Birthday not everyone beleives that but I do.. I am sure Doug has been busy with the Ron Paul campaign so maybe he hasn’t gotten to our cries to rid this fly but just ignore him like there is a mute button.. He is very educated being but in the neocons eyes he still hasn’t woken up from his coma of brainwashing so let him be and with him putting lol in almost every sentence tells us he is inmature lets not let this one person upset us which he pissed me off but I forgive him for not knowing the truth of whats really going on.. He states that we have to police the world so we don’t get attacked ummm if our government wasn’t hijacked then 911 and these war would never had happened and we would be with peace with all countries.. Than bankers gives money to both sides to make these wars happen and reason our government is wanting to attack Iran is because there president wants to make peace not war and the bankers wants to put a federal reserve bank in Iran to control there money and interests rates and so forth and that president said no so thats why we may going to war with them.. China and Russia are fed up with our American government and want to find a way to go to war with our country. We are already in war with China cause they take 80 % or more of our jobs they are cleaning house inside without blood shed doesn’t make sence then research there is alot of stuff I know and have studied and read and I don’t mean the news networks as they are paid for by the bankers that have a hold of our country.. Ron Paul seen this when the federal reserve was in place so he decided to run for congress to fix things well you see where that has gone.. Only reason why Ron Paul can’t pass his bills is cause 98% of them in congress are for big government and slavery for the citizens they don’t care about us and never have they take take take.. Republican and dem are the same they set this system up to confuse us and pass bills.. So would make us mad at one side instead of both.. tex2 must come onto this blog all the time cause he likes the attention or he knows that Romney is going to lose and he knows that we are ganing more deligates then they say in the news networks.. Any news on tv is bought by the neocons.. Surfisher I am sure you are on the same page as me as well as everyone here except tex2 but thats ok.. Message for you tex2 and I won’t respond to you your invisible to me from now on but I want to ask you one question.

If Romney has the nomination even though he doesn’t and the numbers they say he has over 600 is not correct maybe 400 and thats if he is lucky he can’t even fill 1,000 chairs in a stadium then why are you still here bothering people that like to keep there freedoms and supporting there candidate move on..

“Former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson could pull as much as 6% of the vote in a hypothetical three-way match-up with Mitt Romney and President Obama. Johnson began the 2012 race running for the Republican nomination but has wound up carrying the libertarian banner and could gain ballot access in several states.”

If the above transpires, it is a certainty that Mitt will not defeat BO (with his flip-flopping, he couldn’t defeat him anyway, now this would assure it).

So he needs to withdraw now in favor of Ron Paul!
      ————————————————————————-

Ron Paul WILL become President in 2012 — IF, Romney becomes a Patriot, and forgoes his ego, for the Good of the People!

Mitt Romney could become one of the greatest Statesmen in US History! He’d be the Savior of our Nation — the one that generations to come would tell their children: “Look at this statue, this is Mitt Romney, he saved America”!

Or, he can reduce himself to just a tiny footnote…what is amazing is that his fate rests in his own hands (a very rare occurrence throughout the history of the world)!

All Romney has to do, is to take advantage of this rarest of historical moments, and make a SINGLE DECISION!!!

Withdraw his candidacy IN FAVOR of Ron Paul, with the following grandiose and heart-wrenching patriotic speech (to save his political skin):

“I, Mitt Romney, will sacrifice my political goals for the Good of the People. Now I understand that only Ron Paul that can save our Nation. I agree with all he stands for, therefore, I have deemed that our Nation’s salvation can only be accomplished when Ron Paul is elected as President of the United States of America. Without regret, but with joy, I do the most honorable and patriotic deed I can — I withdraw myself from this election, and give my full support to Ron Paul!”

One honest person is needed to bring these logical conclusions to Romney’s PERSONAL ATTENTION (not the myopic sycophants surrounding him and stroking his ego by chanting wishful thinking as ‘fact’: “You gonna win Boss, you gonna win Boss….).

Regardless how egotistical, arrogant and narcissistic Romney may be, some semblance of reasoning of what’s best for him, should still remain in his skull. The instinct for self preservation dictates that even the smallest of minds will chose the path that leads to safety, not the one leading to disaster.

An honest realist needs to talk to Romney one-on-one — and explain the following to him, so Mitt can comprehend it:

      1) If you don’t win the nomination, than your political career is over (you’ll become just a tiny footnote in US History as a failure).

      2) If you win the nomination, and don’t defeat Obama — which is the most probable outcome (you’ll become just a tiny footnote in US History as an even LARGER failure).

Therefore, Dear Mitt, whichever gamble you take from the above, may lead to total disaster for your political career (and probably will)!

However, here is an action you can take, Dear Mitt, that guarantees you’ll become immortalized in the annals of US History — becoming the 21st Century Savior of America (surely this carrot of success will entice Romney’s egotism to go for it — over the probable political beatings he’d receive otherwise)!

All one needs to do, to assure Mitt’s Historical Greatness of Sacrifice for the Good of the Nation, is to present the above to Romney’s eyes alone! I urge all able to do so, to place this document in front of him!

Send this to Mitt Romney — as an Open Letter, e-mails, etc. — the more you send, the greater the chance he’ll get to read it!

    *Mitt Romney, American Parasite*

(Mitt Grosny — Romney The Terrible (my prefered title))

    http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article31153.htm

It explains how Bain Capital worked. They would buy SUCCESSFUL companies, with little down, borrowed huge amounts, saddling them with crushing debt, refused to continue equipment purchases or maintenance. Then they would pay themselves huge “management” fees.
    —————————————————–

    Some notable excerpts:

“Romney is not a vulture capitalist, as Rick Perry says, since vultures eat dead carcasses,” notes Josh Kosman, who has written about the private equity business for 15 years. He’s “more of a parasitic capitalist, since he destroys profitable businesses.” (The host must be healthy enough to be force-fed all that debt, then slowly bled to death…until the parasites drain all the wealth for themselves).

“When Bain was about to buy a company, its partners would hold a meeting. “He said that about half the time [they] would talk about cutting workers,” Kosman says. “They would never talk about adding workers. He said that job growth was never part of the plan.” That claim was buttressed by the Associated Press, which studied 45 companies bought by Bain during Romney’s first decade. It found that 4,000 workers lost their jobs. The real figure is likely thousands higher, since the analysis didn’t account for bankruptcies and factory and store closings.

“The Armco plant closing involved more than the torching of 750 jobs, Morrow says. Contractors and suppliers collapsed. Workers’ children and widows lost health care and pension benefits. And while Bain received millions in tax breaks—paid for by the very people left holding the bag—Romney walked away millions richer.”

Ron Paul MUST stay on course — keep up the uphill battle to win as many delegates as possible (that the GOP does not prevent him to do, by their obvious chicanery)! Ron Paul needs to take Rmoney to Tampa. Then, the PERFIDY of the GOP will be Nationally telecast (hundreds of thousands of Real Americans supporting the only Patriot (RP), vs a few hundred mousey sycophants for Mitt Grosny, will be hard to dismiss)! ————————————————————————— The American People have long known that the Democrat Party cheats and lies — so they are used to their chicanery (the reason, many call them Democrooks). It is high time that they NOW see the GOP is no different — the Republicons fraud, cheating and strong-arming to “elect” Mitt Grosny, may finally have a televised exposure! ——————————————————————————– After the Tampa Convention — which will probably be the most memorable of spectacles this last 50 years — Ron Paul should take the best path that assures he’ll be part of the Presidential debates vs BO. Ron Paul MUST be part of the Presidential debates — so, people can judge the difference between a real Human and plastic sub-humans! ————————————————————————————— It is not unprecedented for a candidate to be the standard bearer for more than one party (I think in 1896, William Jennings Bryan was the nominee of the Democrats, the Populist Party, and the Silver Republicans; and I believe in 1872, Horace Greeley was nominated by the Democrats and also by the Liberal-Republican Party). Doug Wead — hope you have similar strategy in mind!

Superb parody of a “debate” btw Rmoney and BO — SHARE IT!

(Note the exquisite sardonic touch — only one person is watching the two clowns….LOL!)
